Should I move to Tampa, Florida? Need the lowdown.

Hey guys,
First time poster but long time lurker.
Here's my deal: I'm 29 years old, single, and worth just shy of $1.1 million (mostly in stock index funds) at the moment, I feel pretty lucky to have that much money at this age, largely from inheritance (700k) and working my ass off in my early 20s and saving/investing.
I'm in San Antonio TX (which is shitty for hot girls, IMO) but I'd like to move to Tampa, buy a ~$300k 3br condo with just 3% down (fannie mae homepath program) and rent out a couple rooms to help pay my mortgage and build equity. I do not intend to live a "fancy" lifestyle at all.
Now for the forum coming in handy:
I love hot white American chicks- either young (18-23) or MILF-type- I've heard Tampa is pretty much packed solid of these chicks, right? Blonde hair/fake tits is definitely my type. The "girl factor" and the fact that my best friend is moving to Tampa made me think of relocating, especially since I can afford to.
I've heard good things about SoHo/South Tampa- is this the place to be for someone in my situation? I was thinking a nice condo within walking distance of the bar scene would be great.
Anything else I should know/consider before moving to Tampa? Thanks guys!!

Paging El Mech...Paging El Mech...
Sidenote: San Antonio does suck. Balls. Why don't you try somewhere else in TX first? Plenty of of hot white chicks in Dallas and Austin, and you don't have to drive halfway across the country, unless you also want to be near the water, then I guess Tampa is a good bet. Just sayin.

I haven't been to Austin but have had a college roommate, a very close grad school friend that just moved there, and two other college friends from there.
Between their info and the board's I'd say it isn't as good for game as would be thought. Tech industry cockfest and lots of tatted hipster chicks...
The friend that just moved there said he saw better ratios and more hot chicks more often in Orange County which isn't the worst place in the world but isn't great either.

Thanks for the replies so far. Dallas isn't terrible but its too pretentious for me to be honest...I've been there before. Tampa seems more low-key/laid-back and more down to earth, with just as many if not more hot chicks?? Plus my best friend is moving there to start a business which I plan to help him with.
To describe myself? I'm 5'11, in good shape, white guy...pretty down to earth, don't care for "living large" despite my decent chunk of money

Here is a suggestion: visit Tampa yourself.
As for your money situation, you could move to another country, double your standard of living, cut your cost of living in half, and potentially reduce your taxes. Even after a 50% market correction (I wouldn't expect any volatility beyond that) you'll still be fine. A small side income from whatever plus half of your dividends and you should not need to eat in to your principle. If you do this in the US you would be close to the poverty line.
Enough said. Travel.

Tampa has all the ass you need. Pretty white things, cost of living is low. If you can survive off of your rental income then definitely make the move. 5'11 and white? Sure, shouldn't have a problem.

You should be able to comfortably spend 40K or so per year, with an adjustment upwards that covers inflation, and never touch your principal.
I don't really see the point of buying a property in Tampa.
But what I would do is survive on 24K or so until you are 35-40, and let your 1.1MM grow significantly.
You can live live well on 2K a month in many places. You could even do some modest amounts of work at your leisure and add another grand a month easily.
If you get tired of living abroad, by the time you want to come back, you could easily have 70 or 80 K passive investment income potential, which makes for a comfortable lifestyle in many places in USA.

I live in South Tampa and my office is actually on South Howard, so I can say with confidence that the chicks are hot.
The pros:
-The women are hot and easy.
-Fitness is huge around here. I see hot chicks running along Bayshore on my way to work every morning, as well as at the gym. It's almost as if there aren't ugly girls in this part of the city at all.
-Lots of tight young chicks like you mentioned frequenting the bars.
-Lots of hot surgically-enhanced milfs just about everywhere. There are a ton at my gym, and they're either divorced or looking for something young on the side.
-Property values have hit bottom and are on the way up, especially on condos like the one you're looking at. They're building so many new condo/apartment buildings, and people want to rent rather than buy here, so there's money to be made. I'm just now getting into this racket but it I know people who make great money doing that here and in St. Pete.
-Gasparilla - basically Tampa's Mardi Gras, it's a huge pirate street festival and parade. Best day gaming ever; every girl is drunk, and has a thing for pirates. I got a blowjob on a balcony while throwing beads last year just because I was in costume.
-You have the beach, the Hard Rock casino and Disney World/other theme parks not too far away.
-Most everything is within walking distance, so if you lived right off of Howard you could get to the bars very easily like you're planning to.
The cons:
-There's a definite party culture here, and not in a good way. Bars on Howard become packed and loud every night, especially on weekends, which actually makes it pretty terrible for night game. I've never been big into the loud, obnoxious I-can't-hear-myself-think bar scene anyway, so I tend not to stay out later than 8 or 9.
-Driving on Howard is ridiculous during the times that anyone would be at the bars. I try not to drive on it after 6, if I drive at all.
-Most of the women are vapid sluts, and most of the men are dumb meatheads. The (true) stereotype is that "SoHos" are still drinking every night using daddy's money after college, and the meathead STDs (South Tampa Douchebags) are the kind of guys that they go for. Not a problem if you want a quick bang, but I can't handle having any type of regular thing/fuck buddy arrangement with those kinds of women here.
If you have any more questions about SoHo I can definitely answer them. I like it here, but it's not the best place I've ever lived. That said, I would still come back for Gasparilla every year.
