Gawker owned Deadspin had SIX articles tonight on 3 Florida State's 59-20 blowout loss to 2 Oregon in the College Football Semifinals (compared to two for an 42-35 4 Ohio State upset over 1 Alabama that came down to the final minutes of the game ).

There is something kind of odd about how much they love this. It reminds me of how those 80's Miami teams were treated (which we now look back on as thinly veiled racism). The way that fully grown adults are piling on young men aged 17-21, reveling in a loss that is crushing their hearts, is kind of insane, as if none of these people had ever had trouble with the law or anything in their salad days. It truly makes me kind of sick to see how the mob functions, and it only refines the red pill lens I'm forced to see through.

BTW, you guys know that Florida State also just picked a creationist and climate change denier to be their new President, right?

I choose to interpret it as a sign of feminist alliance, miming a castration gesture in solidarity with rape survivors: a gesture that signals the importance of punishing offenders and standing up for victims. Or, they could just be happy as fuck that they beat the shit out FSU's felonious morons, thiefs & rapists.

The only way that The Fumble could have been better is if it ended with Winston getting clotheslined like the Baylor kicker.

There are many reasons to hate Florida State—their institutional fuckup of the Jameis rape case, the fans who went full Gamergate on those willing to call bullshit on the school—but most of all, they wouldn't die. Every Saturday this year, it seemed like it would finally be the day the Seminoles would lose. Inevitably, Winston would lead the team back, forcing us to wait another week.
Today, Winston had to watch his team die their slow death from the sideline.

When FSU got down early, my brother, who was rooting for FSU, said Jameis Winston had the Ducks right where he wanted them.
Considering the Ducks were sober and on top, I respectfully disagreed.

I won't be content until Winston is taken off the field in handcuffs.
