Decent anti-feminist piece by a woman

http://thoughtcatalog.com/tara-kennedy-k...-feminism/

Much of it is laden with blue pill concepts, but the core point hits the nail on the head:

Quote:Quote:

When the term feminism turned from being a message of empowerment and gender fairness to basically a list of rules, restrictions, idiosyncrasies, offenses and grievances directed at all things male, I tapped out.

Predictably, the comments mostly consist of feminists claiming the author just misunderstands feminism, which is fucking ludicrous. It's not exactly like feminism is a fringe group that has been marginalized by the media; the exact opposite is true. Feminist thought has been utterly dominant in grade schools, colleges, news media, and social media for the better part of the past decade... yet they STILL incessantly claim to be misunderstood by anyone who dares offer criticism.

Dear feminists: If your ideology enjoys unfettered access to all of society's most prominent megaphones, and people still find it repulsive, then maybe they're not the problem.

Exactly, they act like they are this brave, oppressed, underground edgy movement even though theirs is actually now the dominant ethos in our society. Ladies, you're the evil establishment empire, and we are the outpost of rebels.

The greatest misconception about feminism is that it used to be somehow better. As if the produce of marxist lesbians was somehow a good, noble thing and the influx of gullible school girls has somehow corrupted it.

Spoiler: feminism was always terrible, and any attempts to rectify this fact will fail because of the enormous vested interest a lot of people have in the deleterious effects of the ideology on society.

I sometimes wonder if that image is part of the appeal of feminism for college-aged women: they think that it's a chance to be part of some underdog movement "fighting the system." Which is ironic, because as you say, feminism *is* the system.

If "the patriarchy" was real, feminists would be the ones forced to use pseudonyms on anonymous boards in order to safeguard their careers and professional reputations when voicing their criticisms. Instead, they get the NY Times as their mouthpiece and they wield the power to get other people fired who dare to disagree with them.

There are lots of feminine women out there who are against this feminism BS.
Usually in Turkey feminists are girls that are 6 and below on looks scale.
The girls who are 7 and above have nothing to do with this BS, and are also not involved in politics/activism BS.

We have a saying in my country, "Feminist until she finds a husband, Communist until he/she becomes rich."
