La Casa de Papel (Money Heist)

I think this show deserves a thread by itself. It's a Spanish show, aired in Spain, almost 2 years ago. Netflix has bought the rights and airing it worldwide now.

First season is 13 episodes, second season just aired 2 weeks ago, with 9 episodes.

This show, hands down, the best show I ever watched in past 10 years. There are a lot of twists in the show but scenario is very very good.

Basically plot is, group of experienced-thieves are trying to rob Spain's Royal Mint, stay inside a week, print up to 2 billion Euro's and successfully run away.

If you haven't watch it, give it a try. I think it's the best show on Netflix along with Narcos for me.

Got addicted and just finished watching this. Season 1 I didn't find to be as good but season 2.. Too many nerve wracking scenes, phenomenal plot twists. One of the best shows on netflix for sure. WB inspector and Tokyo.

Watched one episode and it was enough to start hating the moronic professor who was supposed to be a genius hiring a bunch of psychos and unbalanced women because "they had nothing to lose". Buddy - for that kind of loot you could hire 140-IQ Navy Seals/ex-CIA/ex-FSB agents - even getting caught would be nothing to an end-20s guy who gets out in 12 years and is a deca-multi-millionaire.

But whatever - perception of fiction has been found to deviate strongly depending on the overall experience network as well as a gamut of other factors. Maybe you should but the T-shirts and be the heroes in the gym:

^LOL that made me laugh too hard. It's just a show, like most shows today there is a ton of bs in there but I see nothing wrong with enjoying it, still entertaining. The end is 10x better than the beginning imo.

Yeah - I get it. Fiction is a bit like art - even minor points can make you ignore other aspects which other men find infuriating. It's not that you don't see it, but you simply like certain parts that much, so that you willfully ignore others.

It's not for me.

It was a good show, but you could also 100% feel that it came form Spain with the whole talk of feminism, matriarchy, muh single abused mother, us hard knock women have it so hard in this world and have to work extra hard..... could've done without it. Some of the things that were done to create PLOT DRAMA were retarded, like come on just kill that faggot weasel of a bank director already.

But other than that, good show to waste some time. There has been a drought of good shows lately and I was glad to find something new to watch. That show is getting promoted hardcore everyone in my city as well and the "Bella ciao" song got really big because of it

I like this post cause I felt exactly that.

It's a fun watch but has a lot of typical spanish feminism stereotypes that at times made me lewl internally. I think Spain is probably second to only Sweden in terms of radical feminism and it really shows. The amount of older women hooking up with equal and younger aged good looking men in that show was pure hamster stroking. I mean come on, there was a whole class of high schoolers stuck in there with the heistman and im supposed to believe they all pair off with post wall career thots, oh spain....

Lots of nose ring presence as well, classic spanish basic bitch right there. It's pretty much a given for girls to get nose piercings by age 16 in Spain, such a horrid trend.

I wonder when new season is coming. This show was the best show that I've watched in 2018 for sure.

Berlin, you da man.

Started watching the show, stopped after third episode. Too naive for my taste.

I couldn't get past the first episode. The typical forced romance between the thot and the guy... Just please.

For me, it was a great show despite some stupid shit in it. I recommend it. Also, minor spoiler alert, the matriarchy doesn't end too well...

I just finished it over the holidays. I would rate is as a really well done show and one of the best in recent years that I have watched.

For posters complaining about feminism and matriarchy, I would suggest watching the show as it really does not end well for either as someone has mentioned above.

Some aspects of the show such as the small thot being a wild action packed girl is annoying because in real life she would be no ways close to 1 percent tough as shown. Same goes for the Inspector. Also, another annoying aspect was men falling for females who already have children or are pregnant with another man's child. Lastly, the 'female in a man's world' is mentioned few times in the show which is also annoying.

In terms of good, its a show that keeps you guessing as what the next move will be and is quite unpredictable. The psychological aspects are also intriguing. For example, there is the beta nice guy cop and he plays exactly as the forum describes nice guys and white knights.

Berlin, who is supposed to be the sexist character, is handsdown the best character as well as the one who knows how to run things and remain steadfast during the heist. The show does not treat him negatively even though some of the characters even call him a rapist. It may seem in the beginning that he is the typical sexist pig asshole but this show gives him a lot of depth, treating him as heroic and the actor plays him so well that each time he is on screen he steals the scene.

Also, the females lose out to the men in the show almost all the time. The show could have even shown stockholm syndrome as a thing how women are taken advantage of but it didnt and did quite the opposite. The 'loved and respected father figure' theme is strong in the show and is even a plot point.

Most of the actresses, are indeed WB, including the Inspector who is a solid milf.

And 'Bella Ciao' is awesome.
