I actually have heard of it. I remember getting into FFT when I was in junior high (2000 or so) and vowing to play it....then never doing it.

Looks like I should dive into it, because I did remember hearing good things about it, and with forum members vouching for it...sounds like worth trying it out

It's been a while since I played FFT also, but it was always one of my all-time favorites.

I'm not too far into Tactics Ogre, so I can't necessarily say I "recommend" just yet but it's extremely similar to FFT and I just happened to have started it the other day.

I would however strongly recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor for a more modern take on the genre. The overall mechanics are similar but it has a lot of big differences.

The art style is anime but the story is very dark overall. If you've never played SMT games, it all revolves around demons, angels, and a lot of occult kind of material. It's very Japanese, so none of the SJW crap (that I can recall, been a year or two since I've played it), but there is a main character chick who is pretty annoying.

The game is played within the period of a week, and each hour you have choices about where you go. Choosing to go to one place over the other will cause characters to die and the story to change. It's for DS but I just played it on a emulator.

Final Fantasy Tactics can get pretty deep in a technical sense, even more so than Tactics ogre. It's VERY well done across the board although it's not for the casual gamer. These games are very time consuming. Same can be said for Shin Megami Tensei and the most of the Persona series. But these are very good games. This was back in the day when games were more intellectually fulfilling. Other games I'd recomend if you like JRPG:

Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross
Star Ocean: The Second Story
Xenogears, Xenosaga
Valkyrie Profile
Tales series
Breath of Fire series
Wild Arms I
Metal Gear Solid Series (not JRPG, but tactical in it's own way)

I love the new site's logo!

The graphic appeal of a website can contribute dramatically to its success.

was it made by a professional or a RVF member? Just curious.

While I support #gamergate, I'm not sure if I'm ready to hitch my wagon to them completely. They seem hyper sensitive to their enemies giving false labels like "misogynist" or "sexist". They really care what SJW's think of them and want to come across as noble. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's how their movement can be destroyed.

Not only that but a lot of them are completely clueless about what they're up against. It's not uncommon to see some of them spout drivel like "gamergate shouldn't be political!" despite the fact that politics is what created it to begin with.

I recognised a while ago with KiA, particularly as the Nick Denton fakery was happening, and bowed out of Reddit.

They're hopelessly-naïve.

I think it was probably someone on Fiverr, or Roosh himself.

This is their first war while we are veterans, so it's easy to be hard on them. But then again they do seem fixed on doing things their way and not using our past experiences with SJW's to help them.

Hello Roosh, new here (being lurking for a while). I'm 100% behind you on this project. The only way we will beat the SWJ monopoly on culture is by starting our own counter culture. I honestly see in 5-10 years a whole different (pro-male) ideology among the male population (thanks to people like you that created the right spaces to cultivate this ideology).

Anyways I only have one main criticism: have you thought about developing some sort of unique, clean web design? I am by no means an expert in the game journalism space but it seems gamers are big fans of neat web design (look at polygon, IGN, and kotaku). Presentation is everything. The only way to beat the competition is by giving the audience a product that is far superior. You already have the epic content, if you show gamers your site is in the same league as that of IGN/Kotaku (with clean authoritative site design) you already won.

It's a good logo. Can tell it's not a Fiverr job.

Good luck with the site Roosh.

Not the biggest fan of the logo or web design though. That needs a good amount of work.

I disagree. Those sites have full time staff designer/coder jobs that need to be justified with elaborate and graphic heavy design, but the internet is going mobile heavy. Look at reaxxion on mobile... nice and clean. Minimalism is the future. [Image: smile.gif]

I think I would have preferred a "magazine" type theme myself.

All themes now are mobile responsive anyway.

Don't know about gaming niche, but can confirm. Scrapped one of my old sites design with a hundred links on the homepage to a simple responsive slider type deal, traffic went up massively.

People use tablets and phones for their main browsing now. Would recommend everyone try to minimalise their home pages.

After the huge censorship during the ZQ and gamergate saga, all over reddit, neogaf, even 4chan, gamers were looking for new anti feminism anti SJW sites, nichegamer.net saw a new rise and acceptance among gamers, because it was one of the few gaming sites that posted proGG articles.

A gaming site would fit perfect for this and then,

Sport site
Movie site
Gun site
Tech Site
TV site
Fashion, clothing, style site
Car site
DIY site

Then keep it as anti feminism anti SJW as possible.

They tend to be mainstream right/republican and anti-democrat. Now, whether they're anti-SJW and feminist, I haven't a clue.

I visit The Truth About Guns pretty regularly.

Anti-SJW, yes. Anti-feminist? Mostly. Blue pill? Sadly, yes.

There's no need for "red pill" gun sites, though. Shooting's just a hobby and they're always going to be anti-SJW because they don't trust the left. All they mainly care about are their second amendment rights and that's fine by me.

Sounds like a good idea. Can't wait for the usual suspects(Gawker, Slate, Tumblr etc) to start their "misogynist" propaganda bs against your new site..
