Gman the 'wai' that is being referred to is how Thais often greet one another: with palms pressed together as in prayer and often raised towards their head. As seen commonly in India, south asia.

Stay away from lower Sukhimvit and go to regular Thai clubs that are scattered around the city. The people are friendlier and the girls are very approachable. They will buy you drinks, food, and make sure you have a good time.

Finally someone with a similar experience to mines. Was often driven around by the girls I met, bought dinner & drinks and taken to cool places. I can't say I minded. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Guys should also stop waing. It's a complicated procedure that takes a lot of details and a lot of practice to do it properly. You will only embarrass yourself. Just nod your head or shake hands.

I was told if you get it wrong it can actually be almost offensive. I avoid it.

Can you break this down a little? How about calling out some names?

"Guys should also stop waing."

What is this?

Best clubs are at RCA. Like mentioned before weekends are packed. There are some seriously hot girls there. Busiest one was 'Route 66' from what I remember. Usually middle to upper class Thais, with occasional younger foreigners.
Muse in Thonglor would be another one with a slightly older crowd than RCA.
Those are the popular ones, good ones are also in the sticks but hard to track as they seem to appear and disappear at random. Always best to ask a local on what's best at a given time.
As for bars from the top of my head are Phra Nakorn Bar, Hippie de Bar, artsy places with hipster hotties.

The most fun I had was at local neighborhood bars. Especially ones with live bands. People wont let you sit and drink alone. Much cheaper with great food and good atmosphere.

Clubs like Qbar, Spasso, Bedsupperclub, are mostly pros.

As far as I don't like Khao San road, their clubs and bars offer a bit of white meat to change pace.

Best luck I had was with day game. Thais love to eat so there are a lot of eateries where office workers, nurses, etc. hang out and can be swooped.

A wai is a Thai greeting with palms pressed and a bow. Depending on your social status and the ones being greeted affect how it is done. Done poorly it can cause a local to loose 'face' or for you to loose face and loose respect. In tourist areas Thais usually disregard a sloppy foreigners wai, but out in the sticks it could cause problems.

Yes, it is possible. But not the way he described - getting a non-pro girl in her 20s, who is well-done and speaks good English into bed after spending very little time with her and no money on her. As I have said, there is simply not a lot of non-pro young girls in Thailand who are doing well. Very few of those who are speak good English, as you need constant practice for that. Some of them are interested to hook up with foreigners, to chat about the culture or practice the language, but only few of them are open for ONS with a dude they have never seen before. That's why I called it wishful thinking, it is projection of American hookup culture into Thailand, which has a completely different culture.

It's laughable that you think it's not possible to get a non pro in her 20s in Thailand into bed. Hilarious in fact.

Quote:Quote:

What are you talking about? For a start most pro girls are poor as shit, sharing apartments with 5 friends and sleeping on dirty matresses on the floor. For all the sex tourists there's about 3x more hookers. Plus they don't save their money or spend it on worthwhile things, they blow it on clothes, makeup, technology (half them have iphones) and shit they don't need. Few of them are well off.

There are plenty of middle class / upper class Thai girls living off mummy and daddies credit cards.

Quote:Quote:

Any one with a bit of money or a well off family likely went to a good uni where they had to learn English or infact all lessons were taught in English. This was the case with 2 of the students I was with.

Quote:Quote:

You seem to be so sure what Thai girls are and aren't interested in doing even though it seems you spend most of your time in Thailand in Pattaya spending money on hookers. You simply didn't meet the right people.

Quote:Quote:

American hook up culture? I'm not American nor have I ever been to the States. I know enough about hooking up in Thailand though to know that whilst it's not neccessairly easy or the norm to get one night stands it is possible. The reason it's not the norm isn't because I'm some sort of superstud and everyone else isn't but because most people who go to Thailand think everyone there is a pro (I probably thought it as well before I went) and that the only way to get laid is to pay for it. So everyone goes with that attitude, then they never venture out of the tourist areas (why would they there's an abundance of gorgeous girls throwing themselves at them) and don't see any differently, they pay pros for sex, they see everyone else doing the same then they come to the conclusion that all Thai girls are like that and if you want sex you pay for it.

I don't have to prove anything, I know what happened in my time in Thailand and I know other people who have had similar experiences, just because you and a few other people you know haven't had the same experiences doesn't mean it's not true.

Thailand VS the Philippines

Fils
Pluses
English
More Westernized
Girls easier to get jiggy with
Feels more like Mexico and America
Cheap
Friendlier
Local men less jealous of us being with their women
Locals more aware of big picture

Negs
Seedy
Rundown
Church and elites control the mass
Uneducated
Slums way worse than Thailand
Air quality and pollution are unreal
Over populated; soaring population guarantees decades ahead of poverty, crime etc..>Economy cannot keep up with endless pop growth...Fils need to do a China one kid policy or they are fucked.
Economy dead; no one wants to invest there
Poor odds of getting a job there
Not as much to do tourist wise--just plain boring in the cities
No tours/harder to get to outlying areas-nature
even more hot/humid than Thailand
Air so bad I ended up in the hospital
Dangerous
Boring--being more like USA and Mexico, being Catholic etc etc means the place does not feel very Asian..I missed all the Buddhist shit
Food is shit--carbs up the ass
Grocery stores not as good as Thailand
Airports are total shit
I got scammed on my hotel and I felt scammed by having to pay a departure tax at Manila Airport

Thailand Pluses
Hotter girls
Skinnier women
Women less poor than Fils
Women well dressed
Thailand much easier to get around--one solid country in the midst of SE Asia as opposed to Islands
Thailand has great tours from all hotels for about $30 USD that get you all over the place--I loved the tours from Chiang Mai to Doi Suthep AND the Golden Triangle Trek-also loved my tour of Phuket--stunning temples and views of the coast
Thailand, especially BKK endlessly fascinating..I could spend all day marching and taking the BTS all over BKK or temple spotting in Chiang Mai
Buddhism: Again Thailand just kills it here...Catholicism bores me--feel like I am back in Mexican influenced LA where I live...snores :-) Thailand has Buddhism, some Hindu and Muslim temples, a few cool churches, Thai massage..I even dig all the references to the monarchy
Aiports--clean, modern..Suvambari Airport in BKK is one of the wonders of the world-as nice as any USA airport--whereas as NAIA Airport in Manila is one of the scariest and most depressing shitholes on earth
Better grocery stores
More white collar jobs
Thailand is safer than Fils even with the coup
Thailand has better air, cleaner, etc etc
Thailand is at least 30 years ahead of Fils economically
BKK perfect city as far as balance between rich and poor...Affordable yet not a slum or dangerous
Better food

Thailand Negs
Dummies need to be colonized by foreign power so they can drop their egos and see their shortcoming
Poor English skills
Monarchy, military and elites control the masses
People are dense and cannot think critically
Materialism ruining people and making them even more stupid and shallow
Stray fucking dogs everywhere
The constant coups and lack of order in the government

It sucks that we cannot own land in either place

More later hope this helps !

Thailand VS the Philippines

I just spent 10 days in Bangkok and 7 days in Manila so would like to offer some insights to this thread. I'll basically just give the pluses and minuses of each city.

Bangkok
+Excellent night life and night gaming. I had SNLs 4 out of 5 nights I went out gaming and on the 5th night I got a girl to come home with me but was unable to break through the LMR.

+Lots of beautiful, sweet girls many of whom are looking for casual sex.

+A safe, vibrant city with lots of great stuff to do besides gaming. For example, you can visit the temples, learn to meditate, learn Thai boxing, Thai cooking and Thai massage.

+Easy to get around close to the public transit corridors.

-Lots of pros and semi pros and there's no clear line between non-pro and pro. This didn't bother me at all. I actually kind of liked the challenge of getting these girls turned on enough to go home with me for free. In fact, one of the crowning achievements of my gaming career was when I got a serious, high end pro who was an 8, elegantly dressed and at a nice place to not only sleep with me for free but also pay for my drinks. In her own way she was very sweet, admitted that she had a crush on me and kissed me, something she said she never does.

-Thai is a difficult language and most people speak only a little bit of transactional English. But again, there's an upside to this, in night game this forces you escalate physically really quickly. I was able to bang a girl who knew less than about 20 words of English also fulfilling a longtime fantasy.

-Terrible Pollution, overcrowded and virtually no green space.

-Difficult online game. There are lots of time wasters. I wouldn't waste a lot of time in Bangkok with this.

Manilla
+Excellent online gaming. You too can be the king of Filipino Cupid; and as others have said it's not hard to get a ton of notches. I was selective and very hot women came to my place and would have been happy to bang on the first meet. Having said that, I only banged one of these girls for reasons I'll explain later.

I personally find the Filipinas to be just as cute as the Thai girls. I also found them to be more passionate but not necessarily better in bed.

-Manilla's a pretty rough city with not much to do besides malls and nightlife. The pollution is even worse than Bangkok's and the poverty is soul crushing. It is not a safe place. The public transportation is sketchy and the traffic is insane.

Logistics are very tricky. If a girl isn't in the neighborhood you are in or adjacent, I would not even bother. I had a girl come 4 hours to see me. I already had a date with my main girl later on so even though she was amazing I ended up making her leave after a few hours. This felt shady.

The girls don't seem capable of casual sex. The first hour I was there, I met a 7.5 in the grocery store. She is upper middle class (owns condos, has a professional job etc). That night we went out and had some of the best sex I've experienced. Anyway, she got very attached right away and because I liked her, I ended up hanging out with her most of the rest of the time in Manilla. I could have easily had several notches in the week there but ended up with only 2 because I was blocked by my mini-relationship.

It's indeed super easy to rack up notches in Manilla but honestly my sense of compassion and empathy kept my numbers low. While I was looking for SDLs, the girls were looking for something really serious. A couple of times I couldn't bring myself to pump and dump a seemingly innocent, naive and super poor girl who was looking at me as some kind of savior. It just felt really negative. Personally I'm in the business of giving happiness to the women I'm with. In Manilla I often felt like I was going to be taking something very important away from them.

Summary
For a good looking guy who's interested in improving their game skills, I would say Bangkok is a better choice; and it's a fun city to hang out in. For a guy who just wants a bunch of notches, Manila is better. But the girls are often poor and desperate so to me it felt really shady. On the other hand, Manila could be great if you are looking for a relationship or like me, on the lookout for new harem members. The girls are very sweet and if you're selective, very pretty too.

^^ Good breakdown. Sounds like you met a good one in Mania.

I agree with everything except the part about the "innocent and naive" Filipinas. They certainly bring the good girl game, but they are anything but innocent. You should have banged those girls. The truly good ones would require a family member to escort them. In any case, I'd recommend nothing short of a private detective if you are considering a serious relationship with a Filipina.

Definitely agreed on the passion though. When they like you, these girls really give it their all. It's a beautiful thing to experience.

PM me for accommodation options in Bangkok.

I'm not interested in a serious relationship but plan to come back to the Philipines and travel around the islands next time. I hope to keep one of the girls on standby for this purpose.

My limited notches were also a matter of logistics. Once I got into the short term relationship, I had time limits before my main girl came back. Twice I had a girls in my bed all warmed up and I had to send them off before I got the bang because my main girl was due back. The sex was too good and I liked the main girl too much to blow her off. I consider my frame pretty solid but had a hard time resisting the Filipina charm.

I have been to Thailand 5x or a total of 4 months however you want to look at it. In manila for 3.5 weeks . Here are my 2 cents:

Tourists : seriously a big one for me. I like to stay on sukhumvit around Asoke to feel the vibe of central BKK and every time I am there it's infested with backpackers (no offense ) sex tourists and in general a lot of scum coming over to get wasted 2 weeks solid. In manila there is literally nothing to see and to do for a tourist and hence there is none of that crowd around which was great as it makes you somewhat exclusive and foreign .

Quality : I hear a lot of guys complain about the Phillies and their low quality and I guess its somewhat justified . I did tinder , cupid, dia as well as night gaming gramercy , prive and valkyrie and a few other bars . Online quality is rough, the girls are just shockingly poor yet super nice. I found PHN girls to be super clingy as well. Night game had better quality but same as in BKK so many semis around and sometimes hard to distinguish . Yesterday I google imaged kudeta and surprisingly came across a semi I shored in soi 11 . She shuffles in soi 4 and then goes on bagging baht in the hiso clubs. Communication is obviously better in manila but I found the Thai girls more adorable although thats just my personal preference . Although sometimes they are super sweet and stuff but after 48 hours it's just so flat. All the spark is gone due to the simplicity of the convos. Night game in the sois or Mixx or Rca, and khaosan was more fun it felt more playful in BKK than in MNL . Plus in manila you always need to be alert. they won't gun you down but surely aim for your wallet and dash . I believe bkk is safe 24 7. Having been to super shady places in bkk I can say that no one is going to do shit to you unless you provoke them or you end up in a Jabba hut in khlong toey. Also the girls in Thailand are never ever in as desperate situation as the ones you meet in PHN . I really had to hold myself back to not break any hearts. The background of some of the PHN girls is just so heartbreakingly poor. It really makes you think.

There is a lot of Euro guys in BKK doing modelling, thaiboxing and teaching English. Some of them dress really well and are very fit. In manila during the day I only saw one group of 20s the rest of the whiteys are just old and awful looking. If you are young and fit you can clean up well in BKK in particular with top ladies. If you are however an older business man you might be perceived as a sex tourist and you won't stand a chance against the young crowd if you are aiming for the top tier . In manila there is hardly any competition and you clean up regardless that was my perception .
Plus everyone else is on p4p .

To be honest I am not really interested in temples, cultures and sightseeing stuff , I also get bored on islands so I like to hang around central BKK, shopping going to the gym, doing martial arts and getting caned. Having turned 31 now I won't be to keen to get back to the hive when approaching 40s.
Manila same stuff, I just tick the boxes. Seen it done it bought the shirt but mainly see myself around makati and the fort gym, pool, shopping and getting plenty cans in in between. I don't believe there is an age restriction there at all unless all of a sudden thousands of young tourists come flocking in. Won't happen though. I am really thankful that it has nothing to offer for tourists and hope that won't change anytime soon.

Tldr : young and good looking BKK . Things not going too well for you then head over to the Phillies, no worries .

I'm in my early 40s and got hot, early 20s girls in both places. Then again I'm fit, with no greys and women usually guess my age at 32.

Having said that, the hottest, most sensual woman I was with on this trip was a 35 year old Thai and I saw lots of hot Thai women in their 30s. So I'd think an older, well dressed, handsome guy in his 50s could really clean up
with dating game in Bangkok with girls in their 30s.

What are some cool alternatives for Thailand other then Bangkok? OR should I spend a month in BBK anyways? I'm tired of always staying in capitol cities every country I go to. I'm going to go somewhere in Thailand next month when I leave the Phils... there is a slight chance I head to Indonesia as well, if not I will go there when I leave Thailand.

It depends on what you mean by 'cool', but judging by your posts I would recommend you venture off the beaten path for at least part of your trip. Definitely head south to some of the national park islands, Koh Tarutao and Koh Rok are just two of many, but know in advance that this is not the place to meet Thai girls, or any girls for that matter; just powder-white deserted beaches, inland jungle landscape and crystal clear water. Koh Lipe is the main tourist island in Satun province near Tarutao and you may want to visit it, but like most islands in Thailand it is poorly developed. Koh Lanta, near Koh Rok is better, especially the southern part of the island near the national park. I used to live in Phuket and even though I rarely recommend the place for a beach holiday, if I wanted to live year round near a beach in Thailand, Phuket would be the choice. Diving in the Simillian islands nearby is also very cool, but expensive. Chiang Mai, where I spend most of my time these days, also has a lot of cool things to do as long as your are ok riding a motorbike or scooter. I actually prefer Chiang Mai over Bangkok, definitely not as good for gaming, but still better than Pattaya, Phuket and Samui for non pros. The city boasts a lot of hipster girls that congregate in the Nimman area and if you have game and are fairly young, you will pull in Chiang Mai. Many guys that visit lose the plot by hanging out at Zoe in Yellow, Spicy and Loi Kroh Road, compounding their foibles by partying in shorts and flip flops. Riding a motorbike along the border between Thailand and Burma which is a major drug smuggling route is very cool. I have even unofficially crossed over the border through a village that straddles it a couple of times. Officially crossing over into the Burmese state of Shan, at the Mae Sai crossing, for a day or more is also cool and you don't need a visa if you stay within the southern part of the state. Definitely take the girl you will meet in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai for a few nights stay in Doi Mae Salong; a moutain village which is inhabited by the descendants of Kuomintang Chinese that fled southern China after they were defeated by the communists during the Chinese civil war. There are several very nice guest houses like Wang Put Tan, Vintage and My Place and the restaurants in town boast fantastic Yunnanese food with the duck and tea leaf salad especially good. Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son, where the town of Pai is located, provinces all have fantastic mountainous jungle scenery that you could easily spend a week or more exploring on a motorbike. I am just scratching the surface here and haven't even mentioned any of the the islands in the Gulf or the 'big four' Issan cities of Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani and Khorat, gateway to the famous Khao Yai national park and birthplace of many of those slutty Issan girls you are likely to meet on your trip to Thailand. There is another major city in the south, or twin cities of Hat Yai and Songkhla, which together make up a metro area of close to 1 million.

Nice post Kamaki, thanks for the info. I'll be heading to Chiang Mai for a bit in 2016...I look fairly young and have some game, so that bodes well - but you seem to advocate avoiding Zoe in Yellow and Spicy, which I think I've seen recommended as gaming venues elsewhere. Do you advise skipping the Nimman area altogether, or just frequenting different bars and clubs? My look is fairly clean cut by the way, I definitely won't be going for the backpacker or hipster look, if that influences your advice. Any info greatly appreciated!

I have traveled around both Thailand and Philippines extensively, and Thailand wins HANDS DOWN any challenge between the two nations, in my humble opinion.

The Thai GFE, their lovely nature, their sweetness and gentle kind, feminine loving personality is world class.

Also, Thai food is better, and the country is safer.

Some parts of the Philippines is very unsafe, take care out of the safe tourist areas peoples... I've had very dangerous encounters. The reason there are armed guards everywhere is the Philippines (and not in Thailand) is because they are needed...

What kind of dangerous encounters did you have? I got scammed by taxi drivers a couple of times in Manila, but it happened to me in Thailand as well. I also saw an older Western man surrounded by Filipino thugs in a restroom at a night club in Malate called Exclusiv. Just walked past them and stayed out of trouble. I agree, in general, that the Phils is more dangerous than Thailand.

I got taken to a shotgun robbery by dodgy taxi driver when I was drunk.

I've been attacked by a few druggos.

Attempted robbery at knife point.

Ripped off by women, bars and restaurants, supported by armed guards.

Shot at car as drove past village.

Drinks drugged.

Home invasion...

Other than that, it's a nice place.

Maybe I have been lucky in Thailand, but I've had a lot less drama there.

Can you tell us a bit more about them and as to where in the Phils this happened?

It's good to hear not just the positives about a place but also the negatives too. Helps us keep on our toes and to look out for things to and places to avoid.

I would say Thailand = long term living because safer, better food and (for me) better women.

Philippines = traveling because less tourists, easy to get around and game everywhere because everyone speaks english, easier girls

Personally, I don't really like traveling in Thailand. It is probably the only country where I feel more comfortable staying in the capital than traveling around the country. Almost every tourist destination in Thailand is overrun by drunk backpackers nowadays whereas the Philippines still has a lot of amazing places with not so many tourists. Also, I found that backpackers or young travelers in the Philippines are a lot cooler than in Thailand where most of the travelers are relatively boring.

@cr33pin: I would recommend you to spend more time in Indonesia. For me it is by far the best country in SEA for traveling. It is very safe, the food is amazing (in my opinion even better than Thai food) and since it is such a big country, you have a lot to explore and can easily feel like a pioneer. When I have been to Sulawesi, locals always asked me to take a photo with them because they hardly ever seen a foreigner. Mind you that Sulawesi is the eleventh largest island in the world! The options in this country are countless.
