Feminist thread on Red pill women?

Examples:
''I just heard this in an unrelated video on youtube and it made me think a little. Here's my take on it:

The head is in charge and makes decisions and so on
The neck is supportive and turns to where it's needed
A head without a neck isn't quite right as it could be, but it does most things just fine: men who stay single don't enjoy some of the perks of being married but they go on with everything else
A neck without a head is just a stump. It can do all its twisting and turning just fine, but it's just not doing much other than wobble (like a post wall giant squid of anger, flailing its squid-y arms)
Together they are the best team ever, helping each other out and so on, better than any of them alone could ever be

I just thought this analogy was pretty funny so I figured I'd share and hear your two cents on this theory

I really like your interpretation best.

However I think probably your RP filter understood it in a better, but unintended way.

This is usually used to convey the meaning of yeah let him be head of the family, but he's useless without woman who is what controls the direction and focus of the man/head.

Or leading from behind.... Where you just do your best to let him think he is leading but you are doing your best to only let him pick your choices. Women who want to say their men lead and look like a cool chick....but really she's still a controlling partner.

Exactly.

Some object to this term:

I've heard this expression used to illustrate harmony as well as a way to validate subversive tactics. I think some people [may] have first heard this expression when the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" came out.

Maria Portokalos: Let me tell you something, Toula. The man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants.

Suffice it to say that I don't particularly like the implications of that. I suppose I prefer to see it in a more beneficial/complimentary way. The neck and the head have to work together/in unison, it's counter-productive to fight each other when you're actually meant to work as a unit etc.

I agree, the neck has far to much control for the analogy to work. It strikes me more of a "ruling from below" analogy. The type of relationship where the man is the figurehead of the family, but the woman is really in charge. Like the Queen of England vs the parliament. I don't know if I can describe it better than that, but hopefully you know a relationship like this to understand the type I'm talking about.

I see it in a more helpful and supportive light like helping orient a man towards his goals for example going for a run together or cooking healthy meals if he wants to lose weight or leaving him alone while he's working on something important instead of distracting, and so on

But the head tells the neck where to turn and when the neck doesn't obey the head it usually gets the shins knocked into a table. I think of it more like Skyrim, where you need to turn one thumbstick to direct the character and the other to angle their head so they can see and get ready for what to do next.
