for those looking for a bookworm neg, where "you should read more" would be overkill you can just use 'you should get out more' as they are usually self admitted introverts and homebodies there isn't any pride damage done.

The reverse is true if you use 'you should get out more' on a dumb party slut, as she probably has a sense of pride that she is at the club 5 nights a week and would flip out at that 'insult' but will giggle at 'you should read more' because she probably knows she is stupid.

ie neg on things the girl has admitted to herself already not things she is proud of.

I totally disagree.

You don't have to knock down someone to make yourself look and feel better. (applies to both gender)

Just go along with a conversation and she might realize she needs to read more. If she is into you and has a good personality, she will change her eyes to 'curious look' and focus on your speech like a student.
(BTW, it's so easy to go to a club and find someone you can outsmart right away. But what's the point? Will those girls in tight mini dress, will care about your knowledge?)

I don't care who you are but there always will be someone who's richer, smarter, stronger, better looking than you.

real rich people don't come up to you and say 'can you afford this?'
real smart people don't come up to you and say 'do you understand what I mean?'

When they display the qualities we admire in a subtle way, that's how they get the respect.

This line is best used in day game, particularly when dealing with American (mostly white or Americanized Asian) women. Even if they do read a lot (80% of fiction is read by women), they probably read like they eat: chain restaurants and overpriced oversugared crap. The whole point of a line like this is to put them on the defensive just a bit, not to disparage or humiliate them.

You should read (Roosh) more. lol!

That look is SO Mitt Romney! When a reporter tries to get a dig into him, he gives them a mild scolding look like a parent would give to a child who just farted in church.

Personally, I think a person sounds like a complete dork when I hear someone say "you should read more." It's also a lot more than a neg it's a insult basically saying "you're stupid" I'm going to have to pass.

This guy I work with said to a girl the other day "You look tired" without realizing how women take that to mean they are ugly. Its a classic neg. She told me that she then spent several minutes in the bathroom trying to make herself look prettier.

I had been planning to find a situation for this for like a week, then he sideswipes me, but it was just hilarious when she told me. It works!

Great one. What if she starts with "why?" and "what do you mean?"

Change the subject immediately or ignore her inquiry. Explaining anything to women is counter productive. The idea of this neg is to delivery it, get her hamster spinning, then abort. Stick and move.

And you act like that's a bad thing?

Yeah it is a bad thing.

In the OPs example with the latina at 711 was a good use (still not a neg), but where he was saying to use it as a verbal 'shiv' to shut women up is the exact opposite of both a neg and anything resembling panty wetting dialogue.

A lot of new guys don't get the difference between being a mean asshole and being a caring/nice asshole.

Mean Asshole: the use of insults and put downs to gain power over someone in an interaction.

Caring/Nice Asshole: standing your ground, being ambiguous in what you think of a woman, maintaining power by your actions whether it be through teasing, dread, etc. Ie. not being a supplicating 'beta'

No one is going to get their dick wet by calling someone a stupid bitch, but they'll get BJs for days doing the adult equivalent of pulling her hair.

Yes. This sounds more like an insult than a neg. A neg is softer and the best one is still "you're not really my type" or "I just go crazy over women with curly hair" (said to a woman with straight hair) or "I always notice short curvy women (said to tall stick figure)

However, an insult is way more fun anyway. Because FDB.

Many women need to be insulted to counteract the massive number of men disingenuously kissing their ass all night. In nightclubs, I neg/insult girls at will.

I do not neg/insult:
- during day game
- definitely not once I'm on a date.
- generally most women older than early thirties
- European women (especially German/E European...they don't seem to get it)
- Latinas. Especially not ones straight from Latin America. They don't need/deserve it.
- black women are ok to neg, but not insult
- a woman who has approached me
- Jewish women. They win at irony.

In my experience one must liberally insult/neg white british, white American, and some Middle Eastern women. But heavy-handed, merciless insults are best for white American women. They've been told all their lives by men and the media that they are holy and infallible. FDB.

Love this post. I just used a variation that came out as "You should learn more". I was listening to a BBC podcast and this chick was giving me shit, and my response sent got her spinning. Immediately trying to qualify about how she gets a quality education and watches the news blah blah blah, I say cooly "Buzzfeed isn't knowledge". Then I comment on how the podcast mentioned Rembrandt, a favorite painter of mine and she starts quizzing me on him haha. Obviously I answer correctly and flip it on her when I' ask if she knows where her favorite painting is on display, she didn't. Definitely going to start using this and other variations more
