I Don't Think Women Should Engage In Weightlifing As A Sport

I saw a post on a Facebook page talking about a females athletes gaining attention in sports traditionally dominated by men...it contained a picture of a female weightlifter...preparing for some tournament.
Of-course one of the biggest mistakes a lady can make is to grow fat...(Note: I'm not referring to the weightlifting she does at the gym to be in shape)...a woman needs to hit the gym and you know: keep in shape.

However,I don't see the sense in the idea of females, engaging in sports that should be meant for men such as as weightlifting competitions.
In my opinion: A feminine woman shouldn't do that. She could hit the gym, lift some weights; just to keep in shape...and not join some competition where women try to reach or break the records set by men. I'm not surprised most of the female weightlifters I've seen have muscles like men or are fat. After all to build strength, one needs muscles and to build muscles...One needs to eat "stuff" ...
And I made a simple comment:
"I don't like the idea of women being weightlifters... just saying"
Apparently I got some backlash from beta males and females...
I added screenshots of the conversation below:

Or, I'm I missing a point? I'd like to know.

I disagree, anything to encourage the lazy slobs we have today to get up and do something is needed.

Sure, I've seen some big bodybuilding chick's and honestly they're not my type. But the more toned and thick trainer girls are hot in my opinion.

Let them eat their cake and perform. It's not like we'll ever see a chick do something impressive like complete American Ninja Warrior.

America has enough of a fat culture. Let's get a fitness culture going.

The problem is more if they diet to very low body fat (and lose the curves and are probably infertile) or mess with their hormonal profile (drugs) and become super jacked/mannish (just gross).

Other than that, some general lifting will make them look better. I get turned on seeing girls squat. Kinda have a thing for the fitness chicks I guess.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

First of all, no one cares about your Facebook conversations.

Secondly, unless a chick is on PEDs and/or doing some kind of insane Crossfit routine 6 days a week, she's only going to look better from lifting weights.

Stupid thread all around.

I love a girl with a bit of muscle on her, especially a thicker one. Up to a point though.

I've never seen a girl who looked better with more upper body muscle, assuming she's slim in either case. The baseline amount of upper body muscle from a regimen of heavy squats, heavy hip thrusts, sprints, light deadlifts and lunges is fine, if not optimal. If you took pictures of the same girl and say manipulated the size of her triceps, forearms, biceps, traps, and shoulders, the pictures with bigger muscles would not be the most attractive.

The lower body is the opposite of course. My point is, hypertrophy for the upper body for women, from an aesthetic perspective, is at best unhelpful, at worst counterproductive. If I was dating a girl and I was in control of her workout regimen, there would be no upper body specific exercises. No presses, no pullups, no rows, no curls.

Plenty of girls do these upper body workouts, but they lack the intensity and appropriate diet to incur much hypertrophy. If they did, they'd get bigger, and less feminine.

Telling someone to respect your opinion is a pretty needy, insecure thing to say.

Personally I would rather have a muscular chick as opposed to a morbidly obese chick. I'll admit though that women can over do it in the weight room. This one broad at my gym has traps bigger than mine, has a V-shaped body and looks like she could play linebacker.

As for facebook conversations, your life will be 100x better if you avoid facebook at all costs. This year, I have only posted like two things on facebook. I do use it for its messenger feature, but I do not post and I do not reply to posts. I rarely even go to facebook anymore. I can't stand it. It's a waste of time. Read a book or lift some weights instead of dicking around on facebook.
