When did you decide you dont like being tied down?

I've been a playa/hoe/slut since I was 18 and discovered I could pull girls off of my looks. I've been steady doing this for about 5 yrs with a handful of short term relationships while being a slut. I fell for a girl a few months ago and she dropped me hard and was playing with my head afterwards because she knew I liked her so much. That's when I decided I won't ever get serious with a girl again and to go back to my old ways.

Its sad how some guys HAVE to be in a relationship.

It is sad obly yourself to be in a relationship. And even sadder is to think to never fall in love again.

Deixa que essa fase é passageira, amanhã será melhor você vai ver a cidade inteira seu samba saber de cor!

When I was a kid and had zero game, and fell constantly ''in love'' with many different girls who I actually never managed to get, I used to tell myself I would never fall for a girl again. But even when you learn the game, pull alot of ass, you still crave for that feeling back in the day, at least I know I do, its a different feeling, something I would trade for any amount of pussy.

I'm sure that despite all you wrote, you're very likely to fall for a certain girl very soon, and if we want to be more precise: this year.

Something about your post made me think of this clip from Big Bang Theory:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqG6Xha0vn8

The key part of the scene is from the 45 sec mark to the 1 min mark, with you being Sheldon and your ex being Wil Wheaton. Just something to think about...

When did you decide you dont like being tied down?

"I knew since the day I dropped from my mommies ass and slapped my Papis face, and said move-over cocksucker I'm running this place". -- Dolomite

When I cancelled my wedding; I found many "little lies" that made me realize how deceitful and relentless women are at getting their way ....always.

That was 10 years ago, I never regret it or looked back.

What Mixx said sums it up. If you never know what reality is, then how can you commit to it? I have no idea what is true about my past with women and what is not. Even whether or not pregnancy was real, despite having talked to gynecologists (always at strategic times planned by her). I've come to the conclusion that I am no match for women when it comes to deceit. Yeah, I lie about little things, to make the day to day easier with women. But women will lie with a long term strategic goal in mind, with your ass on the line as the prize. Only a sucker goes in blind. And all men go in blind. In the west, only the lucky survive (not to sound to cheesy and hyperbolic).

Ironically, this insight puts a guy right where he needs to be to have a full love life regardless. If you don't trust women, then you won't take them seriously, will be more detached, and as long as you are social, you will seem more attractive to many girls precisely because you don't trust them (but will play with them). Its the emotionally giving guys that are kept at arms length.

I like being the contrarian so.....I'd just say always be open to new things and never say never. I have a female friend who ALWAYS insisted that she would never have kids. She had no interest in them at all. Yet now she has two kids and is as happy as can be. Heck, she's a hard core atheist who married a muslim. Again probably not what she was planning on. Life is full of surprises and none of us knows what the future holds. Be open to them.

The problem is typically what houston describes - getting into imbalanced relationship (in your case it looks like she had, or believed to have more value than you).

@emh

You are talking about a woman. Remember: what a woman says and preaches contradicts what she actually does.

All women will say they want a funny, smart, and emotionally in touch with her. Then we see her fucking a total asshole who ignores her only when he wants sex.

Your friend is just another example of what a woman says she wants or does not want, and responds to the opposite.

Date other women on the side. Problem solved.

The more women you date on the side the less shit you'll give about HER. You might even find something better and dump her with all her problems.

EXACTLY!

I realized that it's better to keep your heart in check because even the "good" girls will rip it out at any moment. You got to find that fine line where you're into them but really you're detached.

"Your friend is just another example of what a woman says she wants or does not want, and responds to the opposite".

I had an interesting conversation with a girl (about a 7 or 8) about a year ago. I claimed that many girls "dig muscles", sustaining my argument by the obvious: evolution theory. She responded furiously by claiming that that's such a prejudice (not the exact word she used by I can't think of it now). Instead, she said she wanted a loving, caring, social and romantic man with a good job, stable income who'll be a good father. This was allegedly the kind of man she liked and actually added that I was someone she imagined herself to fall for.

However, while she refuted the idea of muscles, she did claim she wanted her man to be tall.
Do you see the hipocricy? Why is it that (many) girls like tall men? There is nothing innate in height that is necessarily more attractive, except for the fact that height (like muscles) is (more often than not) a sign of physical strenght and thus ability to protect the girl.

Sure, it is possible that you can meet a wonderful genuine girl who doesn't play games, flake etc and just gives you love. So you can always hope. How often does that happen though?
Or you can learn core game principles like not giving a fuck, not being needy and the dick move etc in order to take control of the situation and eventually pick the girl yourself.
I'm not having a go at you I'm just saying I'm tired of being romantically naive and putting the girl on the pedestal. Instead I'm looking forward to be an alpha caveman who takes what he wants and won't be manipulated by the girl.

The emotionally giving guys=the nice guys. Every time a girl is confronted with the fact that nice guys don't get girls, she denies it (because this truth is very incomfortable for he). But yet we've seen it almost every day since kindergarten.
This might seem far-fetched or ridiculous to bring up but did any of you notice that James Bond, albeit being a fictional charachter, actually harbours resentment towards women? Something happened in his past which made him that way (and at the same time extremely successful with them). I loved Casino Royale but though this was taken a bit too far in a Quantum of Solace, btw.

Neil Strauss wrote that the dichotomy really isn't nice guys/bad guys but rather weak guys/strong guys with a serious overlap between nice-weak and bad-strong, which results in what he claims is the spurious relationship that nice guys don't get the girl, only the bad ones.

Yes, SOME colombianas are flaky as HELL, but at least on the occassions they dont flake they are warm and give you love, unlike many European women. If there is a place where the women are like the colombianas but without the flakiness, I'm all ears.

I have a theory on why colombian girls are so flaky. Most alpha males get killed in the armed internal conflict of Colombia and the drug war in the country. The betas dont get involved as much and are the only ones left. They spoil the girls with compliments and gifts, which elevates the girls' self perceptions to the point where flaking becomes a natural consequence.
