I wouldn't blanketly say liberals would go crazy over this. I'm fairly liberal, have a lot of friends who are, and we've all wondered why there can't be a hetero, white, male, etc pride. The people who are OK with one side of the coin but against the other are just losers who happen to be liberal. There are plenty of losers out there who happen to be conservative too.

Likewise, fairly liberal here. And many of my friends who are liberal accept and agree with my POV, at least are more agreeable when their wife/gf isn't around.

In fact, my folks who are also fairly liberal, have been listening to my more outspoken red pill/anti-feminist thoughts for months now and completely agree. Both my parents even expressed to me recently how they think the whole 'fat acceptance' movement is nonsense.

Now I'm sure they always thought it, but it's good to hear it. It's good to hear people speak up.

Does anyone else think that "straight pride" can take off and go viral with a good initial effort, supported by image macros and memes?

-For example, launching a 4chan-style drive to "Let's support this San Francisco Gay Guy for the Nobel Prize, because he's gay" and treating it seriously.
-Or "Let's help this bulldyke lesbian defeat these Caucasian heterosexual male PhD holders who fix bridges and clean water supplies in Africa, so that she can win the IEEE's most prestigious Society Engineering Award."

It would resonate perfectly with the teenage rebellious spirit, especially guys, who would be sick with public education's agenda of promoting homosexuality. Girls would follow suit because as they have no tolerance for any kind of perceived weakness, and follow the highest-value guys, none of whom really have much sympathy for the gay movement. The liberal establishment would try and crack down on them, which would in turn entrench the sentiment even deeper.

Tons of older people like in Democrats who are there because of socialist belief are only nominally supportive of LGBT because they've kind of wormed their into the party stance. If they didn't feel pressure to support gays, they wouldn't.

If white Americans actually start to identify as a team, and support their own at the expense of everyone else, America as it exists is pretty much finished. That's why this stuff will be mercilessly brought down by the coalition of everyone else.

I hate to tell you this, but none of us would be posting here if scientists, who were the original "liberals" who contested the at-the-time-conservative rights of kings and the churches, didn't establish the right to inquiry into facts free of authoritarian conformity.

That scientific movement of free thinking created the comfortable lifestyle every single person reading this has.

There are aberrations like declines in fertility in go-girl cultures, but you can't expect to eradicate plagues and triple life expectancy without some bad side effects.

These labels, liberal and conservative, are hopelessly vague, worse, they're used to divide otherwise mutually sympathetic people for the benefit of financial arbitragers and other "leaders."

People have a cultural memory of about one hour, whereas , it takes understanding centuries of culture/tech/philosophy change to understand where your lifestyle came from.

I'd love to hold a straight white guy parade in Denver. All I can imagine is just a bunch of shirtless dudes with red/white/blue body paint riding in the back of pick-up trucks down 17th and Broadway. It would be epically hilarious. Fist pumps all day.

To be fair there is a ton of stuff like this. You could go see a football game, for instance. Or watch Nascar. Straight white people are still the principle compinent of American society, so their culture is really just popular culture at large. You only jeed to celebrate your unique culture when it is not the majority culture.
