As promised. Extra random possibly helpful information
Free publicity to these places

Restaurants and such

Bors Gasztrobar
Kazinczy utca 10

This places is already rated like top ten in the city.
They specialize in soups and baguettes
I have no idea whats in the soups...cause they arent in english.
But the baguettes are straight crazy...check the menu out

The dudes are also a cook bunch also..
I went here maybe once a week.
They are right next to Szimpla..and pretty much under my apartment.
The only gripe is that everytime I came downstairs..people were eating in front of my door

LEVES.
Vámház körút 14

Leves means soup..
This is a small shop. near Kalvin ter and The Central Market
They have new menus every couple days and sell by the cup.
If I was ever near them..I would get a soup and eat it anyway.

[Image: 388170_263006627088438_445231352_n.jpg?o...e=54CEA124]

Soul Food Restaurant
Kazinczy u. 32

Cant say its Soul food in the real sense.. but they have some good stuff
[Image: soul-food-Budapest.jpg]

Beer & Burger
Wesselényi utca 32

Place is easy to find.. its kinda American themed.. But they have some awesome burgers. You only need one..The Food is in big portions. Don't be a hero and try to order more than one.
They have one burger duck live on it.. sounds nastyy.. but taste great.

Huszár Étterem - Söröző
II. János Pál pápa tér 22

This place is right on the edge of a park near Keleti Palyuadvar.
Really small restaurant. not busy at all.
The food is awesome. I cant say its super cheap.. but its not expensive at all.
The Chicken Paparika is great.
I suggest the bab leves. Bean soup.. I think its better than Goulash...10 times better. and more filling.
I took a couple girls here for lunch. the owner is a great guy. If you try to speak a little Hungarian with me.. he will open his heart. The first time I was there..He gave me more money back in change than I was suppose to get. When I pointed it out.. he said.. he knew.. he just enjoyed the company. ( I gave him all the change back)

Nagyi Nonstop Palacsintázója
Petőfi Sándor utca 17

Translates to Grandmas pancakes. Its really a place that sells crepes 24 hours.
Its near Deak and Vorosmarty.
They also have fresh milkshakes.(straight fruit and milk cream)
The crepes arent the best in the world.but you will be impressed as fuck... its a good place to try to bounce chick too if you meat them are Fröccsterasz.
Ive also made this place a day time date..cause its usually never busy in random daytime hours.

* I've never been here when there is a girl at the counter who can speak English
This was a perfect opportunity to familiarize myself with Hungarian words and pronunciation.
If you got a Hungarian girl with you..its a good date idea to have conversation and get her to teach you stuff
They have like 4 locations around the city also
[Image: 20070718fapadoset14.jpg]

Sirius Teaház
Bródy Sándor utca 13

This is a pretty cozy teahouse. everything the menu is like 3USD
Its kinda like a maze cave. thay have little nooks and such to squeeze into.
During th day time.. i admit i act like a child and crawled around here.. during the evening there were more people.
Its got a chill relaxing atmosphere. and from where I lived (Near Astoria) It was a easy place to move to and from my apartment.

*This place is south of Rakoczi ..not a lot of people go on that side..they think gypsies will get them.

Noir CocoBar
Hegedű utca 6

This place is a "bar" that serves hot chocolate and such.
Im not talking about that instant mix shit.. im talking about melted coco in a cup.
They have divider up between the couches for privacy and a low light ambiance.
Its near Octogan but it tucked in really well. The girl and I that I was with walked past the place twice.. once looking right at it.
We thought maybe it didnt exist anymore. Its a small door that you have to walk downstairs on.
If a girl has a sweet tooth.. this is the place.

Yogurt Fabbrica
Hajós utca 21

Frozen Yougurt shop.
Its near the cocolate bar.
I found these places literally cause I a girl and I walked around all the side streets trying places to snack.
This might have been my first good experience with a "foodie" ( I hate that word)
But frozen yogurt is all the rage.
Try it.
.

Random bars
Sark 2
Wesselényi utca 21

Even though its right near Szimpla and what not. Ive rarely met a foreign here. Its a real small bar with and outside seating area.
There is nothing super special with this bar minus that they have a large sign and is on the corner.
I liked to use it at a meeting point because I can stand outside and get a drink.. there is also a little area inside that for some reason people dont go to.. it has an uncomfortable couch bench that I can bring girls to and feel them out. see how interested they were before heading to another place.. or my house.
Did I mention they have beer for about 1.05USD andshots and vokda soda for 1.20USD
I dont know why this place isnt packed.. Tourist are paying twice the cost 260huf VS 550 a block a what at Szimpla.

Ankert
Paulay Ede utca 33

Much less crowded than the other big ruin pubs.
This place has a whole lot of space.. and a full kitchen in the back.
From the outside you would probably neve know that its a "upscale" version of Szimpla.During the time I was there.. there was still a bunch of young people..
*The cocktails here are amazing.
They mix all the fruits, cremes ect right there.. Even when its not busy at at it takes a while.
It took them like 5 minutes to make 2 cocktails on a relaxed weeknight.
I ended up stealing their menu card so I would know how to make their drinks
They shit is good

Ellato Kert & Taqueria
Kazinczy utca 48

Big outdoor ruin bar style..only they serve food.
I like the crowd here better than places like Szimpla
its on the same place but less people.
There is another place across the street from here. that has hammocks...

Fun things to do.

Claustrophilia
Budapest is famous for is puzzles.
I dont think I've heard anyone in the city do
The idea is that you are trapped in a house that is a giant serious of riddles and puzzles and you have to figure out a bunch of logic based games to navigate the different rooms in the house..all within one hour.
Its not an amusement park.. you literally show up at a random building at a specific time.. ring a doorbell.. and the game begins. You dont see another human until you escape or run your time out

Ive went with both a girl as a pair.
And with a friend( you an go with up to a 5 person team
Its relatively cheap for the amount of fun you have.
I suggest everyone try it.
Is something fun to do if youre traveling to the city...instead of twiddling your thumbs until the evening.. do something interesting

Sourcecode, I was Budapest over the summer for a few days and first off, it's absolutely awesome city. But with regards to restaurants, have you been to Trofea? I can't recall where it's at other than on the Buda aide just over a bridge. It's a higher end restaurant but they do all you can eat and drink for two hours for about $25 US. I happened to tag along with a Carpe Noctem hostel group who went there for a staff members going away party and about 10 of us killed 17 or so bottles of champagne, copious beers and lbs of food for next to nothing.

CR go get it.

I always went with the molky way.
Something about the flavor of duck liver and onions mixed with pears always filled me up right.
It's not an acquired taste..I've let many girls take a bite and as long as they didn't know was liver, they loved it

I ate the bors dog once...I guess i wasn't impressed as you guysn

I'm so homesick I tried to cook a Hungarian meal the other day...

You guys (and Sourcecode in particular) are making me reconsider visiting Wroclaw this fall/winter for Budapest. A Hungarian g/f I had here some years ago cooked chicken papkrikash for our first date, chased by lemoncello [Image: wink.gif] Getting things sorted here to take a nice long vacation I have a book I'm writing so being inside a lot of the time isn't bad though a lively environment to roll into would be great. Who plans to be there Oct/Nov/Dec? Better weather than most of Poland I'd guess.

My 2.5 months here have been quite the learning experience. I'm glad I've come here with a redpill mindset and a good deal of experience dealing with women under my belt. This place could chew you up big time, either from the highs you experience or from the devastating lows.

I'm getting notches at a higher rate than ever before, with wonderful girls who are great in bed, but I'm also experiencing some harsh rejections and social interactions.

Here's some of what I've experienced.

The Highs

The local girls that do take to you, will treat you amazingly well. They're sweet, do things for you, bring gifts when they meet you and are great in bed. Every Hungarian girl I've smashed has been a fantastic lay. Their bodies have never disappointed. Great tits and yes, BJ skills are top-notch here. Instead of the "you're lucky to have me" attitude you get back in North America, the girls are genuinely grateful to be with you. They caresse you with care, while snuggling up next to you post-sex. The sex doesn't feel as transactional as it does back home. It's a much more intimate experience.

One girl got me a ticket to the big music festival here, other girls have cooked for me or brought me Hungarian treats on our dates. Many have bought me drinks. A few have told me that I'm too good for them.

All of this is great, for a less experienced man, it could become a major trap. You could develop oneitis fast, or find yourself in a relationship before you know it and under her control. I've seen the dollar signs roll in some girls eyes when I've brought them back to my apartment. It's a nice enough place, but I can tell some of them see me as a rich foreigner. My younger, bluepill self might have looked past some of this, "she's so sweet and gentle, I want to take care of her" etc. Now when I get any kind of provider-seeking vibe, I know how to handle it and play it cool.

The Lows

As mentioned by many posters in this thread and Slubu's 30 days thread, harsh rejections are part of the game here. I had one girl tell me to fuck off when I opened her. I've also had a couple of next level rejections, where girls have ejected from dates with me, without having the courage to tell me so.

The first time it happened to me was at Sziget Festival. A Tinder girl had been texting me for a few days, typically she'd be the one opening me via text. Warm lead, I thought. I knew we were going to be there the same night, so I suggested we meet up and she was game. We met and chatted for a few minutes. She then told me that her friends were at a tent and invited me to join them. So we took the 10 minute walk to meet up with her friends, casually chatting. When she got there, she told me she had to go to the bathroom and walked to the toitois/portapottys. I never saw her again. A few minutes later, her friend came up to me and said "she's not coming back, she's not interested. I don't want you to waste your time, so I'm telling you now."

Another night I got AMOG'd. I was set to meet another Tinder girl at the main square, when I got there, I spotted a girl who looked like my date chatting to a big burly guy. I waited for the conversation to end, but I could tell right away I was in trouble. I'm not clueless, I can read social situations. Once they ended their conversation and she greeted me, I suggested we walk towards the riverside. She was hesitant and wanted to sit down at the nearest bench. She was flustered and I could tell this was going to be a waste of time. "Oh, I just met my friend," she said.

I had already gotten laid earlier in the day so my balls were drained and my thirst was at a minimum. I was already preparing to eject, asking her if she was ok, trying to give her an opening to end the date early. She suggested we go sit inside the square, I reluctantly agreed. Heading towards the square, she was walking so slowly, the entire time making an effort to stay behind me. When we turned the corner, I saw the big burly dude waiting. I got to the stop walk and knew she wasn't going to be following me anymore. I took a peek back to see the two of them walking away together, him with his arm around her, mate-guarding style. I crossed the street and went on my way.

Keep Your Composure

The male hamster can rationalize all this stuff up to a point, "I don't want to spend time with a girl who shows this kind of lack of integrity" but in the end, it still stings. But what can you do? All I did was push forward and work on finding the next girl. There's no point in dwelling on it. 24 hours after the first girl disappeared on me, I was balls deep inside a new chick. With the second one, as I mentioned already, I had gotten laid hours earlier, so I laughed at myself for getting greedy.

Once again, I'm grateful that I've come here with some experience about just how treacherous women can be. If stuff like this had happened to my younger self, or to someone who lacks game and self-confidence, these kind of next-level rejections could have a devastating impact.

It's a sad reality. While there are some great girls here, no matter where you are in the world, there will always be deceitful girls who lack integrity. Never get your hopes up and never forget that. Always keep your composure and an even keel. Don't get too high, don't get too low. Push through the tough times and enjoy the good times.

I still love Budapest and would recommend it to any player. The good outweighs the bad. But if you're lurking here, reading this thread, keep this in mind. If you have a bad experience early on in your time here, don't let that deter you. There's a lot of great girls to meet here, just be prepared to deal with some bad ones.

Maybe I've been unlucky. Maybe my game isn't where it needs to be yet for this city. Maybe my foreigner status makes these girls view me as low value. Who knows. Just because this happened to me, doesn't mean it will happen to you. I just wanted to share my experiences with readers here. Take it however you like.

I have been away, but it seems the budapest thread is still going strong !

CR, if you want to discourage girls going to instant, especially when the weather is poor like this weekend, you could tell them last time it rained the roof was leaking and the whole place flooded. Haha, was funny last night as the bartenders were running around trying to place buckets.

What I find interesting though is although school is back, there are still a lot of backpacker tourists on the streets. Don't school start in other countries as well ? Also last night there were some RSD guys doing a bootcamp in otkert. As always, this place is ever popular.

One venue I've discovered and really enjoyed is Fogas Haz.

It's located between Szimpla and Instant and it's a perfect mix of the two. It's basically a two-part bar. On one side is a large dancefloor. Then there's a Szimpla-style courtyard with a couple of bars where you can mingle with people and open girls.

A lot less foreigners here, I'd say it's 80% Hungarian.

If you meet a girl at Szimpla who says she wants to dance, take her there instead of shitty Instant.

Not sure how good this place is early in the week, or if it's even open, but on the weekends it's busy until sunrise.

Just a quick reply to Nemeasus, as a local I get tricked as well, so this is not restricted to foreigners. I dont get the harsh rejections though, just the IHAB. The flaking is the same as well, though that is only true to 25 and younger. The older local girls rarely flake on me but also extremely guarded, jealous and screen mercilessly for commitment.

Nemausus that was a fantastic post and echoes a lot of what I felt when I was there for my two weeks. Very well written my friend.

eetrader, that hurts me to my core that RSD guys are there at the night clubs. No wonder we are getting such harsh rejections sometimes.

RSD passed through between 2 or 3 years ago. At that time, Otkert opened and it became the "RSD Playground". After it it was Morrison's 2. I think I saw one of their big time instructors at Liget once (Julien or Brad, it's been a while since I cared about them). I don't have a clue how the current situation is, I haven't gone to a nightclub in a pretty long time.

Walking around in this cool pleasant weather is such a change from Manila. So far I am digging this city.

How would Being a Glamour photographer and not shy about it up one's notch level in Budapest ?
Asking a girl if she's interested in modelling as an opener scouting on the streets.

I know Budapest is a thriving Erotic and Porno centre...is just because of cost or because there is wave after wave of fresh 18 year olds keen to get their kit off?

I won't knock a hustle.you should try it if you think it would work.

personally I don't think it will..
Hungarian girls naturally seem suspicious of day game and almost always have a shield.
there are enough gypsy prostitutes in the city.
if you approach a girl saying you want to take pictures of her..she will more than likely think you want a whore and be turned off.
but you never know until you try

I tried the 100 photographs of strangers here in Budapest, well atleast that was my excuse for approaching them. The girls were quite receptive to it. I got a few bangs from it and nearly every girl I approached's number. I'm quite sure being a glamour photographer you'll do way better than I did.
