I have excessive dandruff on my right eyebrow. The flakes appear the same place and start itching a little. I've had it for at least 10-12 years. When the dandruff appears, I just scratch it, it comes off and disappears for awhile, then appears again in a few days, sometimes a couple of weeks. I don't have this problem with the hair on my head - Head and Shoulders takes care of it I guess.
I showed it to a Dermatologist a few years ago, but she didn't find anything. Not sure what it might be.

I have the same thing, brodiaga. It is seborrheic dermatitis and your dermatologist is an idiot for not knowing that. Its basically severe dandruff that spreads to the face(usually forehead, eyebrows and the sides of the nose). Put a little H&S on your eyebrows, works like a charm.

Tons of skin problems come from too many rancid, omega-6, polyunsaturated fats in the diet. One of the PRIMARY keys to wonderful skin is the consumption of high quality, non-rancid fats.
You want to get more omega-3 fatty acids via things like freshly ground chia and/or hemp seeds in a smoothie. Never use/purchase already-ground seeds, as they will surely be oxidized/rancid. GRIND THEM YOURSELF.
You should also take fermented cod liver oil (EPA & DHA) and/or high vitamin butter oil (vitamin K2). Green Pasture has the best.
My preferred omega-3 supplement is called Raw Omega-3+. It's made from red algae and contains EPA, DHA, & DPA. TURNS BACK THE CLOCK FOR YOUR SKIN. You can find it here:
http://www.longevitywarehouse.com/David-...plus2.htm.
You also wanna get your saturated fats in. I consume organic coconut oil, coconut butter daily, and raw cacao butter daily.
HIGH QUALITY FATS GENTLEMEN...the key to life-long, youthful skin.

following the topic
so far, I think Murumuru and Tree-Oil are great tips too.
After shave I've been using coconut oil and my skin keeps moisturized and soft for a long time. And I realized that my skin got better since I used that. So, almost everyday I use it after shower. Does anyone have been using coconut oil for skin too? I just started, so I'm not sure if I should keep doing that or not.
I have another question: When I was a teenager, I had LOTS of acne and I had to drink "Roacutan", a last-resort powerful product that, basically, destroys your body system. You have to make blood exam monthly, you cannot drink alchohol, take sun etc. Well, I have considerable acne scars over my face and I tried to make some laser-based peeling to improve it. It really did, but I have to do more and it is quite expensive (like, U$ 500.00 for each session). Do you guys have a suggestion to get over these scars?

To all the people suggesting tea tree oil...
KEEP IN MIND THAT TEA TREE OIL HAS BEEN IMPLICATED IN THE GROWTH OF MAN TITTIES IN YOUNG BOYS & INCREASED ESTROGEN

I found a great combination. I put the Aztec mask on and let it sit for about 30 minutes, take a very hot shower and wash my face, shave with my aloe vera shaving cream and rinse my face off with cold water. Just dont do it on a night youre going out because ypur face will be red.

I've been through cosmetic laser surgery such as fraxel for my ance/sun damage scars and from my experience while my skin has probably gotten better slightly it was not worth the price. Fortunately going to the clinic and getting product recommendations I was able to get a range of skin care goods that seem to suit my regime very well.
An exfoliating cleanser (brand cosmedix)
A toner (cosmedix) this one is very important because if I were to have the odd break out it effectively stops the acne from growing and hence no scar
Cetaphil non oily moisturiser.
The extra stuff if nobody have mentioned are stuff like Retin-A or tarzorac which is a vitamin a cream supposed to be the holy grail of skincare with anti acne properties as well as skin turnover.
Vitamin c has been mentioned though I've been told smashing normal vit c into powder doesn't really have the same effect as vit c serum (which you can also make on your own)
I'd like to plug in sunscreen because that is the absolute best thing you could do for your skin, the biggest cause of aging is the sun. With the products i mention above its even more imperative to use sunscreen.
Lately i've been experimenting with a product called dermaroller, its supposed to have the same results as laser cosmetic surgery except you can do at home at a fraction of the costs.
It'll take a few months if not years for me to see results but from what i've researched it sounds very promising.

Skin care regimen recently adopted based on scouring many dermatology and cosmetic dermatology medical journals, discussing with dermatologist friends, consulting with other well-known dermatologists, reading tons of websites, blogs, and forums:
Daily AM Care
-Wash with 2% Salicylic Acid Facewash* in shower
-Use Clarisonic Facial Brush in shower
-Let face air day for 15 mins
-Apply Zinc based Sunscreen
(* substitute 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Facewash 2-3x per week for SA wash ... SA + BP work synergistically)
Daily PM Care
-Wash with Cetaphil Facial Cleanser
-Let face air dry for 5 mins
-Apply Retin-A 0.1%
-Let face air dry for ~30-45 mins
-Apply Facial Moisturizer
Misc
-Avoid hard scrubbing when washing face (gentle application of cleanser is ideal; especially if using Clarisonic)
-Use of Clarisonic makes weekly exfoliation unnecessary
-I personally monitor Vit E levels via quarterly bloodwork; and am currently supplementing a Vit E pill daily to keep my serum levels optimal
-I started Fraxel treatments recently for acne scars (need to back off SA, BP, Retin-A for ~1wk prior & ~1wk post each treatment)
-Retin-A takes several (4-6) weeks of consistent use to get dialed in. In the interim, users will suffer from redness, flaking, dryness, sensitivity. These symptoms will subside as new layers of healthy skin replace old layers and all the facial skin cells start dividing at the same time. You must have faith and power through (especially weeks 2 & 3, which are the worst) the caustic phases, as Retin-A is arguably one of the best anti-aging products for your skin. If it is very irritating at the outset, application can be titrated in 2-3x per week (instead of daily) in the beginning.
Long-term
-After wrapping up with Fraxel treatments in a few months, I will be focusing on keeping to a regular daily regimen as outlined above and getting my skin acclimated to Retin-A (will have to cycle on-off during Fraxel treatments unfortunately)
-Regular upkeep will also include dermatologist performed chemical peels every 6-12 months to keep the skin as fresh as possible
-As I get older and the need arises, I plan to seek out Botox treatments performed by a reputable dermatologist

Just got my shipment in of the Aztec healing clay. Mixed up the concoction an slapped that mother fucker on for 20 mins. People are not lying when they say the benefits are numerous even after the first treatment. My skin did get red after the removal, but after 45mins I was pleasantly surprised with the way my complexion looked. My whole face just feels healthier.

I've not been following this thread, so forgive me. I did a quick search and didn't see these two things mentioned.
1) Girl's Foundation
OK, hear me out!!!
As a young guy, I sometimes I get the odd blemish/spot on my face or I mess up my skin from shaving badly.
Buy some girl's foundation and dab it onto the red area. Look's 1000 times better than having a red blob on your face. No idea why more guys don't do this.
It will get rid of any anxiety you have about skin blemishes. I had nights at university when I didn't go out because of a spot on my face.
It doesn't matter if it's gay, as no one will know if you don't tell them.
Also, when I lived in Korea it used to get FREEZING and my nose would always go red as Rudolph's. I put that on and the problem was solved. Much better approaching women without a big red lantern up front.
2) Bic Flex 4
Buy this razor!!!
I've been through three different brands in the past month and they've all cut my face to shit. (Been applying that foundation nearly as much as a fucking girl would).
I just took this thing to my face and it was like a knife through butter. I've never felt anything like it!
Particularly good when you can't get the water hot enough for a shave in your shitty Bangkok apartment!

I'm about to get my Patrick Bateman on and buy some masks, rubs, and lotions.
I took a bar of Irish spring to my face and body and I think it stripped away most of the oils.

Irish Spring is a really harsh soap... Works decently as a deer repellant, though.
If only you knew how bad things really are.

The longer I live, the more I realize that good skin has far more to do with what you eat and drink than with any external skin care activity.
When I:
Cook most of my own food (eat very little take out or at restaurants)
Blend and drink a fruit and vegetable smoothie every day
Avoid sugar (other than fruit)
Avoid added salt
Avoid alcohol
Drink a lot of water
Do 20-30 mins cardio/day
Sleep a solid 8+ hours
my skin looks unbelievable. I can go a week without exfoliating or washing my face if I'm doing the above things, my skin will look amazing. Contrastingly, I can wash and moisturize every day but if I'm eating crap, my skin will look bad.

I can't believe no one recommended getting a broad spectrum, UVA/UVB sunscreen lotion. If there's any one important skin care tip you should adhere to, it's wearing sunscreen.

Cold showers are great for your skin. I noticed hot showers dry out my skin.

I blast my face with sun every summer and its starting to show. Never really have to wear sun screen. How do you reverse sun damage?
