ME: "Don't you dare attempt to 'femsplain' this to me. Trust me, I was there -- my mother wanted an equal opportunity for a job for her and my sisters after my father died. However, even though I previously identified as a feminist, she never did, for good reason -- she worked 3 jobs out of necessity, not because it made her feel liberated. She wanted me to be smart, get a good job and marry a feminine woman, not a 'self-actualized' one who played at what she did for years in order to pay the bills."

TLDR: Debating with a woman about the 77 cents to a dollar false stat. She attempted to explain to me that as a male I misunderstood my mother when she said, "I support equality, but Feminists don't want equality. They want me to feel guilty for quitting my job to raise you and your sisters while your father supported us. By doing what they do, they ensure I will have a harder time getting a job to raise you now that your father is gone."

No surprise -- she was impressed when I called her out and said that she was "femsplaining" my experience as a male.

Beat a victim to the punch and the battle is almost won...
