The 9/11 court case

Why hasn't Khalid Sheikh Muhammed been put on trial for the 9/11 attacks yet?

It has been 12 and a half years now - and even Osama Bin Laden is dead.

Why the hell is it taking so long????

If they solve his case, they'll have to follow up on their promise to close Guantanamo Bay and lose the valuable stronghold for illegal detention and torture of people all around the world. But as long as he's there, it remains essential to national security. At least that's my theory.

Is he going to get a proper trial (say in New York) - or will it be a secret military trial?

He was a pawn. They could never get enough evidence to convict him if they tried to go through with it.

And they water boarded a confession out. He was subjected to this over 170 times. They've made a fair trial impossible if he was going to get one in the first place.

I forgot about the water-boarding. Shit that will make an ordinary trial impossible.

Sounds like the US government don't know what to do with KSM - since he would walk free from any court of law just because of the torture alone.

The strategy must be to keep to spinning round in circles until they quickly convict him in a secret military court.

Or he could just have a "heart attack", or some other natural death.
