They claim the trucks are backing up, but I find it hard to believe the tractor trailer could go that straight in reverse with next to no corrections.

Yeah, I think that was the whole point of the vid. The steering is so good that corrections are unnoticeable.

I get that, but backing a trailer a long distance like that while going perfectly straight is incredibly hard. No matter how good the steering.

The shorter euro trailers would be even more difficult as they react faster than one that is longer.

If that was real, the driver gets some major props.

btw-According to the vid VD had safety wires on him so if there was a problem he wouldn't get injured. Still impressive.

It's an amazing video.

I really like his completely calm demeanor throughout. You know he's doing something really stressful and difficult, but on the outside he's cold as ice. I've been trying that approach for a while now when attempting stressful things (ie. cold showers, hard runs), and it's interesting to see someone carry out the same thing.

On the Volvo trucks, especially on the newer ones (Volvo FH 2012 and after), each wheel speed can be dampened at variable speeds independently. This also prevents jackknifing and does other interesting tricks when put to the limit, like for example, countering the side forces when going backwards with a trailer. This is done automatically, and can be configured by the costumer.

That is due to aliasing.

Trucks are going backwards so that if he falls, they won't run over him.

they won't run over him but he breaks his balls for good. [Image: cry.gif]

How Volvo Created the Jean-Claude Van Damme ‘Epic Split’ Video

Also, there is one trailers in this clip. The other is a RIGID vehicle, so much easier to reverse than a semi with a trailer. The ONE trailer is holding it straight and the rigid is doing the turn.

Van Damme would have battered him. They were going to have a fight but Seagal chickened out at some party. Seagal, whilst trained in Japan traditionally, is still nevertheless trained in Aikido - one of the absolute worst martial arts when used for real fighting.

I do respect and like a lot Steven Seagal, who is undoubtedly very Alpha, being so cool, composed, sure of himself etc., but, yes, he would have stood no chance against JCVD in a real fight, unless he (Seagal) could lay his hands on a stick or blunt weapon.

What? Van Damme would block that shit with his shins with ease.

Just look at what he does to this tree.

Not a big fan of re-opening old threads, but following crazy links exchange with one RVF member I was advised to put it here (don't think this clip was put here before, ).

Have no idea what movie was that, but somebody had too much free time and did a perfect mix of Jean Claude Van Damme dancing skills (split included) and biggest polish music hit of recent years (decided to use an English version, original video on Youtube has 92mln viewers, not bad for Polish clip).

The trucks are going backwards so it must be fake, the trucks are going forwards so it must be fake.
