The Best Roissy Post You Never Read

The economics blog Half Sigma debated whether Roissy/Heartiste was evil and whether his methods worked. Then Roissy himself chimed in.

miles:
who thinks he knows all the mind tricks but is scoring because he is nice-looking,

i've gotten this accusation before and i can tell you that my success literally quintupled (by success i mean number of closes, quality of women, relationship availability, and meet-to-lay ratio) after i learned and applied Game, while my looks stayed the same.
of course, there's no way i can prove this to you without arranging for you to interview my close friends, so you'll just have to take my word for it. what i write either works or it doesn't; my words stand or fall on their own.

confident,

Game can teach confidence. "fake it till you make it" works surprisingly well.

gainfully-employed,

i am, but it's not necessary. i know quite a few successful womanizers who are either underemployed or jobless. but they have something all the beta cubicle drones don't -- balls.

and about half-a-head taller than his "competition" out there.

no doubt height helps a man. but again, i experienced explosive growth (heh) in my interactions with women after i learned the principles of Game and applied them in the field. so obviously my height wasn't the contributing variable in that improvement. i stopped growing taller a while ago.
very short men will have a tough time of it. my advice to them is master game and hit on women shorter than themselves.

showed me that women are attracted to what they are attracted to, period, and unless you literally act retarded-------------they are either into you or they aren't.

this is completely false. women are not like men in that physical appearance within the first second of meeting accounts for 99.9% of the attraction likely to lead to sex. women can -- and do -- get aroused by what a man says and how a man composes himself in her presence.

the whole reason game works is because women, like men, have attraction buttons THAT CAN DELIBERATELY BE PUSHED if you know the launch code. the difference is that men's buttons are more or less fixed to respond to a woman's genetic beauty, whereas women's buttons respond to all sorts of male attraction building displays. i have approached girls who were clearly not interested in me, played a mild game of push-pull by pushing them gently away from me while saying "hey give me a break already and go bother some other guys now with your amateur flirting", and watched as their eyes light up with the deep attraction you only see in women who are feeling something in their womanly furrow.

Half Sigma is, or at least was, an HBD blog. Some of those guys understand game, but there is also a heavy white knight contingent among them.

Example from his own blog: Bring the Movies

One of Roissy's most useful posts.

As I get further into Game, I've started to build a chronology / family tree of sorts...

The originators of much of modern Game were Mystery (Mystery Method) and Tony (Tony's Layguide). Neil Strauss is the town chronicler, writing it down how it happened in "The Game"

The torch was then passed to the next generation and a different demographic through Roissy's blog and Roosh's blog and guides. After the advent of "Day Game," folks like KrauserPUA and Yad came onto the scene, promising just as much play for guys who didn't like the club scene.
