Jennifer Lawrence Calls for Censoring Fat Shaming

Feminism is basically women working themselves into a corner. They don't want alpha males, because patriarchy. They don't want betas either, because that sexually disgusts them and they have been told to follow their feelings at whatever cost. Then the inevitable masses of wall-hitters ands fatties looking around, confused, wondering why they never settled down and why they cannot get that alpha cock they always wanted + their expectations become way too high.

1. Jennifer Lawrence Inspired Women to Love Their Bodies

After one of her superiors threatened to fire her if she didn't slim down, Jennifer Lawrence was pretty angry. She told Harper's Bazaar UK that "If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet,' I’m like, 'You can go f**k yourself.'" This inspired young women across the country to do the same thing.

Remember when Alicia Silverstone was considered bankable, and then suddenly wasn't in the space of a couple of years? I wonder what could have possibly happened to make the public lose interest in her?

She probably "became spiritual", tried veganism or some obscure form of yoga, stopped banging producers because she needed to "find her inner self" and thus stopped getting work.

Id still bang her. I think that anyone who was in high school in the 90s would.

I think she got fat and wasn't cute anymore.

At her best, Alicia Silverstone was only cute. You could tell way back when she wasn't going to grow into a particularly attractive woman.

Which is my point with Lawrence. She's a 6 at best, inflated by makeup, with a cunty attitude that'll guarantee she'll only decrease in value due to arrogance and... as always... snark.

The pics in the other thread were interesting. I never realised she had such tiny, pig eyes before. All the 'makeup' photos have lashes and shading to artifically create the illusion of almond-shaped desirability. A very skilled makeup artist, yes, but Lawrence seems to be believing her constructed celebrity persona is real.

Just to make a point of what is happening here and what Lawrence is doing, a young latina woman I used to know not so alog posted on FB one of those stupids pictures about how and why men should not care about physical beauty, it was a cartoon of portraying a young woman getting old and the captions was aimed at women about how they should not relay on their physical appearance and focus on a career, this young Latina woman on FB is a freaking model with a amazing body and beautiful face, just to describe her pictures on FB, they are all about parties with handsome men, some even singers and many internationals artists , getting VIP and private access to concerts and drinking Moet.

Now Rationalmale naile it

http://therationalmale.com/2013/01/24/the-new-thin/

I see, hear and read this constantly. What we’re observing however is a carefully constructed feminine social convention, and a feminine-combative one at that. By tacitly reinforcing the “good looks” of an obviously overweight woman with positive compliments, the latent message is that she doesn’t need to improve her looks to attract men. The truth of course is that she could be semi-fuckable after dropping another 15 pounds, but in telling her she’s hot ‘as-is’ the idea, in the form of an encouraging compliment, is to get her to relax and stay fat. Thus the complimenter(s) simultaneously feel relaxed in their fat.

It’s really a socialization attempt by less physically appealing women to regulate the sexual market in favor of themselves.
And here is how this Latina young woman encouraging career over look is

Joan Rivers giving the public smackdown of truth on Jennifer Lawrence:

Quote:Quote:

Joan Rivers is still holding a grudge over Jennifer Lawrence's comments about "Fashion Police."

Jennifer Lawrence is almost universally beloved, but she managed to make at least one enemy this past year.

It seems that "Fashion Police" co-host Joan Rivers is still holding a grudge against the Oscar-winning actress, telling the New York Post, "My New Year’s resolution is [ensuring] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down.”

Clearly Rivers is still touchy over Lawrence's comments back in November that shows like "Fashion Police" tell young people to judge others based on "all the wrong values and that it's OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat."

Rivers, 80, initially responded to the 23-year-old's comments via Twitter, writing that the actress was "arrogant and a hypocrite -- apparently Lawrence loved Rivers' show when they were complimenting her during award season but began railing against it when she had a movie to promote.

Lawrence didn't respond to Rivers' tweets directly, but she did go on to tell Barbara Walters that she believes it should be "illegal to call somebody fat on TV."

The "American Hustle" star has been candid about her refusal to lose weight for roles, her distaste for dieting, and willingness to admit when she's been photoshopped -- yet Rivers seems to think her campaign is nothing but an act.

“I love that she’s telling everyone how wrong it is to worry about retouching and body image, and meanwhile, she has been touched up more than a choir boy at the Vatican," Rivers told the Post. "Look at her posters. She doesn’t have a nose, she has two holes. She just has to learn, don’t talk if you’re doing it.”

I'm curious as to how Jennifer Lawrence views her costar Christian Bale, in regards to the extreme measures he takes for his movie roles (All Bones in the Machinist to Super buff in Batman and now for American Hustle gaining 40 lbs of fat and damaging his spine in the process)

You have to understand where she's coming from. There's fat, then there's Hollywood actress fat. If an actress decides to chill between roles and eat like a normal human being, gain ten pounds on what was probably an underweight frame, she's called out by some tabloid as being fat. She's hypersensitive.

I think Lawrence, at her best, is an attractive girl. She's cute. She's not a stunner, but of course with makeup, hairstyling and clothes she goes up couple of points. As some of you have noted though, if she ever decided to just let it all go, she looks like she has the type of body that could get sloppy in a hurry. She has that double-chin potential, which makes you look even fatter than you really are. I was really disappointed about the haircut too.

This best sums it up.

At her best, meaning at an ideal weight for a young girl, proper makeup, grooming etc, she's a very bangable girl. I'd definitely call her very cute. I was actually talking about her with a couple buddies the other day. They were saying she's the hottest young actress right now and I disagreed, but saying she wasn't the hottest but she was definitely cute.

Now she cuts her hair short, and gains weight in between roles, and it's evident the girl won't maintain her attractiveness, especially when she's not predisposed to be an attractive girl to begin with. This works for most girls, any girl that gains weight will see her value drop on the attractiveness scale.

Even if you guys consider her a 7 at her best, it's the same for a girl who you guys would consider a 9 (take Scarlett Johansson). As soon as she cuts her hair, gains 10+ pounds, she will steadily drop down that scale.

It doesn't matter if you're born lacking natural beauty. As long as you are thin, and dress to your strengths. A seriously think 90-95% of girls at 18 would be bangable if they only maintained thinness and dressed appropriately. From there it's just about maintaining the habit.

The wall is inevitable, but you can slow down the onset, and make the most of your young years. The problem nowadays isn't that girls are naturally unattractive, it's that they refuse to believe that some girls are just not made to be attractive and they should make the best of it regardless, as opposed to actually believing that each one of them is special no matter what, thin or not.

^ Even done up, she's nothing special. I have this theory truly beautiful women cause too much jealousy from female audiences to have mass appeal. They respond better to sixes in a bit of makeup: more relatable, easier for the average woman to replace her in the aspirational fantasies movies offer. The Jennifer Lawrences, the Sandra Bullocks, the Jennifer Anistons.

Truly beautiful women of the eight+ variety hold court in movies aimed at men: gangster films, James Bond, action films, though this is being ruined by the PC need to turn women into arse-kicking macho warriors who can hold their own with the lead, and doesn't need him to save her, until she does. I suspect it's just a way of getting beautiful, feminine women away from the male gaze.

This is unfair to Lawrence, and any woman in Hollywood. They aren't allowed to get fat - they'd lose work. Granted, there are some roles (mostly in tv) where they'll need a fat chick, but usually it's a sidekick role, and the fat girl is the comic relief. Kind of like how Melissa McCarthy is being used now. Rosanne was used that way before her. But you can't be a nicely built actress that allows herself to get fat. If they want to fatten her up, they'll use prosthetics (think Gwyneth Paltrow in "Shallow Hal"). Men are allowed to go all method and physically transform for roles (Bale in "The Machinist" as you noted, DeNiro in "Raging Bull," Stallone in "CopLand"). If they gain weight when much older, they'll get certain kinds of roles, but they aren't allowed to do that when they're in their primes.

I don't believe that was the point he was trying to make. Women simply have to maintain their weight. Men are asked to gain huge amounts of muscle in months for one role and then drop it off for the next. Is that sexist?

No. DeNiro and Stallone got FAT for the roles in those films. Stallone muscled up between Rocky and Rocky 2, but put on a gut for "CopLand." DeNiro got fat to play the older Jake LaMotta, then got lean for the younger fighter. Stallone maintained that muscular frame for every other role. Some actor do get buff for certain roles, but it isn't really a hardship to stop lifting, training and taking in extra calories to lose muscle. Men have greater leeway in terms of physically transforming for roles than women do. It isn't about sympathy and whining. Actually, women would never get asked to transform that way. They'll simply cast someone with the look, build they want. Linda Hamilton transformed somewhat for Terminator 2, but it wasn't as if she were fat for the first Terminator. She just got more lean.

Legend also married an SI Swimsuit model, Christie Teigen. The Beastie Boys were anything but pro-women's rights supporters early on. The flat-out got banned from performing in certain cities due to their on-stage raunch. They had a huge hydraulic dick that rose out of a box, and a beer company sent them a cease and desist because they had a huge inflatable beer bottle on stage. They had a rider to their tour contract that they be provided a huge bowl of multi-colored condoms backstage to knock down groupies. I guess they softened in their old age!
