Sinaloa, Mexico Data Sheet

SINALOA

Sorry if there's a lot of typos or if it comes out wrong because I kind of rushed this thread so take that with a grain of salt. I went to Sinaloa during the summer and I thought it would be fair to make a data sheet and share information on this place. This report will mainly cover the cities of Culiacan and Mazatlan which is where I spent most of my time in.

The state of Sinaloa is located in the Northwestern part of Mexico and borders the states of Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango and it enjoys a magnificent coastline in the Pacific. It is home to the great Mexican boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez and his son Julio Cesar Chavez Jr as well as the norteno legendary group "Los Tigres del Norte." It is also home to the most powerful drug cartel organization in all of Mexico, the Sinaloa drug cartel and its infamous leader Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. Sinaloa is wide known for 3 things, guns, women, and narco-corridos (songs that glorify the drug-trade). Many Americans have probably never heard of this place, but for Mexicans, Sinaloa is the real deal. There is no other place in my opinion in Mexico where asses are a normal sight. This place is a gem for women and it has gone untapped and it will continue to be untapped thanks to the Sinaloa Cartel (for good or bad).

GIRLS

There's a saying in Culiacan that says:

"Mucha Nalga mucha chichi, es Culichi
Poca chichi poca nalga, es Chilanga

Big bottom big breasts = Girl from Culiacan
Small bottom small breasts= Girl from Mexico City"

The girls are banging here. My favorite of all the Mexican girls. They tend to be more on the light side with bigger asses than average and bigger breasts. They kind of reminded me of Colombian girls to be honest. The girls in Sinaloa are known for their beauty, and the state pumps out the most beauty queens in all of Mexico. It is very rare to see girls from Sinaloa in the US because many of the people in Sinaloa join the drug-trade to survive and have no need to go to the US. Plastic surgery is also big here because many narcos want their girlfriends to win beauty contests so they pay many of the women's expenses. Many of these models have narco boyfriends and because of this many end up getting killed in the cross-fire, for intstance, Maria Susana Gamez was a model from Culiacan who was killed because she was involved in the drug trade:

Such a shame.

The girls in Sinaloa are very hometown girls and very feminine. I dont know what it is about the girls but I found that they value their femininity a whole lot. If they like you, they love to stare and stare and give you contact that they are obviously into you. This one time I was looking for something to eat in the morning and I asked a girl where I can find some eggs for breakfast and she responded "If you want I can make some for you, just buy the eggs". I mean seriously. If I ever do marry, it will be with a Mexican girl no doubt.

Here is the kind of talent you will find in Culiacan and Mazatlan:

Sure its a bias sample, but its not uncommon to see girls with huge asses in both Mazatlan and Culiacan on the streets or the beach. Heres a link of more talent of girls from Culiacan in more detail here:

Narco-Cuture:

To understand Sinaloa, you have to understand its narco-culture. The whole state is very narco driven. Note that Culiacán and the whole state is notorious for being the drug-smuggling headquarters of Mexico. 90% percent of the marijuana smuggled into the United States comes from here, and many Sinaloenses make a living out of the drug-trade and its actually seen as normal and not looked down upon at all by the locals. Many of the most famous drug lords are natives of Culiacán with their residences and operations here. It's relatively expensive compared to other parts of Sinaloa due to all the narco money floating around. Its something like 30% of Sinaloa's economy comes from the drug trade and something like 45% in Culiacan. Its not uncommon to see the latest models of Mercedes-Benz, Ferraris and Hummers being driven around the city. Culiacan also has 7 new casinos for a population of about 600,000 which is insane.

Even with all this, narco dudes will not go after tourists or gringos. They know better and usually will never really cause you any trouble, but if you see dudes dressed all cowboy, with boots, a Mexican hat and expensive gold chains at the clubs or bars, try to avoid them just to be safe. Dudes like these as seen in narcocorridos:

^^^^^^This guy got killed and shot a few years ago for performing this song in Reynosa, Tamaulipas (Zeta haven). He was told not to sing this song in Reynosa and did anyway and paid with his life.

Narcocorridos sadly are not looked down upon in Northern Mexico. Many of these "singers" are rockstars in Sinaloa and the bordering states, and there has been a shift in culture in Mexico of trying to become like a narco with money, nice cars, women, etc... Similar to how rap and hip-pop is to Americans.

CULIACAN

The city of Culiacan is located right in the heart of the state. This city is known for its women and the people here take great pride in their women. Virtually every conversation you have in Culiacan will revolve around the women and people will be curious of what you think of the women. People would always ask me "What do you think of the women?" even the girls, haha, its quite interesting. The city itself is not that impressive architecture wise, but I came here for the girls. Roosh once said that he didn't mind if a city was ugly just as long as it has fly girls, which was the case with Culiacan for me.

Where to Stay:

I stayed in the center of Culiacan or also known as centro. There are lots of hotels to choose from Like the Ramada, or Fiesta inn, etc... I stayed at a hostel. The hostel was full of Mexican tourists with no gringos in sight, so that was a plus. There are many hotels to choose from and most of the action is in downtown so getting a hotel in downtown will be best. I have not much intel on lodging since I only stayed here a week and got the cheapest room possible. I also have family in Culiacan so I spend a portion of my time there.

Getting Around:

You can take the taxis to places but they are actually quite expensive, almost US prices. If your not too scared, take the city buses, thats what I did. The buses are very cheap too. I think it was like $0.50 a ride.

Food:

Mexican Sinaloense food is awesome. Since the state is in the Pacific they have lots of seafood dishes. Mexican seafood is one of my favorite foods ever so I was really enjoying the restaurants. I think you can't go wrong with Mexican food at all in Mexico. If you ever come to Culican I suggest "Las Palmas Doradas" Restaurant, some of the best food i've ever tasted. It is said that El Chapo Guzman attended the same restaurant years ago and closed down the restaurant and trapped everybody inside and paid for everybody's meals. Not sure if thats true or not.

Nightlife:

Nightlife in Culiacan is very centered around downtown. Try to stay away from places where you see lots of Lamborghinis and Ferraris as those tend to be narco spots. You will spot many narcos in the strip clubs as well so I would stay away from those as well.

Penthouse Klub:
This is where most of the rich girls from Culiacan hang out or the "fresas". Girls here were definitely on the cliquish side and very social circle oriented but at the same time I found that many of the girls were open for conversations and bitch shields were quite low. I joined a group and made friends with some, and even one of the guys was telling me to go for one of the girls. I didn't see any cock-blocking from the guys at all. I made out with one girl here but didn't get the notch because she was with her friends. Overall nice place to go.

Nimbus:
Another bar. Had a more middle class feel. Definitely my favorite. Im more of a bar guy. Gamed a girl with an amazing ass, but didnt get the notch that night due to her friends being there. Girls here really worry about losing face in front of their peers and its a small obstacle to overcome. Got her number and went out the next day. Went for a walk and brought her back to the hostel.

Day Game:
Day gaming is fun in Mexico and Culiacan was no exception. I would go to the mall and just chat up any cute girl I would see. I found Direct to work well for me, but since the girls bitch-shields are low, it was easy talking to them. Many flaked but some I got dates with.

Overall:
I loved it. It can get a little boring but the women more than made up for it. I fell in love with girls from Culiacan and hope to go back again in the near future. The girls tended to be more on the conservative side. Many girls live with their parents and don't move out until they get married. At the same time dont let the conservative/catholic thing fool you. It is widely known that Mexican girls love sex and many will front to their parents that they are good girls then fuck a guy, go home, and get up on Sunday to go to mass. The women here had the best asses ive seen on Mexican girls by far. Totally underrated when it comes to women but the thing that sucks is the lack of things to do. Aside from girls, it can get boring very fast.

MAZATLAN:

Mazatlan is amazing, AKA "La perla del pacifico" or the "Pearl of the Pacific". It has a population of about 350,000 people. Its one of my favorite Mexico resort towns. The girls here come from all over northern Mexico. All tourists are from the state of Sinaloa and places like Guadalajara, Durango, Monterrey, Sonora, Baja California, Chihuahua, Zacatecas, etc... Mazatlan is a must for a player looking for fly women. Didn't really see many Americans but there was a big Canadian expat community there. This city would rival any other resorts like Acapulco, Cancun, or PV. Mazatlan is uniquely Mexican which is why it doesn't get much attention from Americans.

Where to Stay:

Mazatlan has an airport but I never went to it because I took the bus to Mazatlan from GDL, so I don't know much details for airfare. Mazatlán is well known for offering the best value of any of Mexico's major resorts. I stayed at a Hotel called "Hotel Mexico" for $10 bucks a night. You cant beat that. I prefer to stay in a hotel in the city than at an all inclusive resort. There is something for everyone. Most nightlife is in Zona Dorada, so you should try to get a room in that area.

What to do and see:

Centro Historico or "old town" is a very cool place to stroll around. There's also a lot of tours where tour guides will take you around the centro and give you history lessons for like 2 bucks. Many mariachis are around playing songs and many banda groups waiting for someone to hire them. Also its a good place for surfing if that's your thing, water-skiing and jet-skiing are available and also parascending which I did a few times.

Food:

I will definitely miss the shrimp tamales and tostadas de ceviche. But the best thing that stood out for me in Mazatlan were the fish tacos hands down. I couldnt get enough of them. Everyone should try the Fish tacos in Mazatlan. Unbelievable.

Nightlife:

Mazatlán is known as a party city and has good night life. Some popular destinations include Sumbawa, Joe's Oyster, Valentino's, and Señor Frog's which are catered to mostly tourists. The city also has a five-day festival (which is said to be one of the largest in the world) near the end of February. During this festival, a large portion of the street in Old Mazatlan is closed down and live bands and vendors fill the streets. During the week of Semana Santa (Easter week), Mazatlán is flooded with Mexican tourists from all around the country who are escaping the heat to come to the beach. I was never here for Semana Santa but I heard it gets really good. The miles of beach are literally jam-packed for the entire week and have a Carnaval as well. Instead of the Brazilian girls they have big bubble butt Sinaloense girls for Carnaval.

Bora Bora:
The biggest club in Mazatlan. It gets packed on the weekends. Dress to impress as many of the elite come here to party. You got a mix of Banda music with techno and Hip-Pop. Place can be a bit cliquish but manageable. Lots of fly women here. Your neck will hurt from seeing stunners walking past you every minute.

Vocu:
This one is one of my favorites. Its a 3 story building with a huge club being on the main floor and lounges and bars on the top ones. You get a nice view from the upper floors of the Pacific. I dont know about you guys but I enjoy gaming girls right next to a badass view of the beach, it seems romantic and it get women more in the mood to be approached. Lots of Fresas, but very approachable. This is a good place to run night game.

Zymbao:
For guys who are into dancing Salsa. This is the place for you. Its a very laid back place, not too crazy with girls coming to dance Salsa, bachata, merengue, and cumbia. No gringos here whatsover, so if youre white or black and have some latin dance moves, you can really kill it here, as many of the girls will love to be seen dancing salsa with a white guy or a black guy.

Day Game:
Day game in Mazatlan is fun. There are girls all over the place in Zona Dorada and on the beach everywhere. Very, very easy to approach. Mexican girls who go to Mazatlan are looking to have a good time and many are hoping to meet guys, that's where you come in. There are also a lot of Canadian girls who are looking for the same thing. Day Game was a lot of fun. I preferred it better to Night Game. Im just more of a fan of day game to be honest.

Overall:

I loved it. I fell in love with Mazatlan. The people, the women, the food, everything. I recommend this place for anybody who wants to with fly women and wants to have a good time. I prefer Mazatlan from like Cancun, or Acapulco and such. Just my opinion. I totally recommend it.

Online Game:

Terrible. I was only able to meet one girl online. I'm Mexican American though, so I wouldn't really stand out on places like badoo as a Mexican than say a black guy or white guy would. For me specifically, online game sucked. But for guys of other races you have an advantage, and Im pretty sure you can find results online. I used badoo so Im not sure if its the best out there. Certainly doable though.

Competition/Gringo Status:

In terms of hooking up, I would give Culiacan and Mazatlan 3/5. You can get laid but you are going to need game. Sinaloa dudes I noticed have game, more so than any of the other guys ive seen in Mexico. The dudes also have a certain swagger to them that attracts the girls. The girls are notorious around Mexico for being good looking but so are the guys and they know it. Being from Sinaloa in Mexico is the ultimate DHV when it comes to Mexican girls. If a good looking Sinaloa guy goes to Mexico City or places like Puebla, Michoacan, the girls eyes would light up as soon as he mentions that hes from Culiacan. So the guys will have game here, just something to note.

Also another important thing to note is that narco dudes have many girlfriends around the cities of Culiacan or Mazatlan, its rare but not impossible that you can come across a narcos' girlfriend. Usually if a girl has large breasts (breast enhancement), an unnaturally huge ass (ass enhancement) and has very expensive items with her, shes most likely a narco's girlfriend, or hangs around narco guys. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but just be aware of this. Normally, if a narco dude sees you talking to his girl, he will try to scare you off, but nothing violent. Just be cautious of that.

As a gringo, you do have a slight edge over the local guys. I never saw one white guy or black guy at all in Culiacan, but I did see a few in Mazatlan. A white or a black guy with game can do damage here. For Latinos, you need game, but its no different than a local. I really don't see a problem with any race to get notches here. As with everything, game prevails.

Safety:

Even with Sinaloa being the home to the Sinaloa Cartel and El Chapo Guzman, its surprisingly very safe in Culiacan and Mazatlan. The Sinaloa Cartel has a strict code of distancing themselves from the general population and tourists. The reason why the Sinaloa Cartel has been the most successful of the cartels is because they don't mess with the people, often funding hospitals, building new roads, and creating new schools and feeding the poor to keep them on his good side and offer him support and protection. El Chapo is seen as a rockstar here, admired and loved by the people. So a tourist or Americans are not likely to face any harm. Its actually quite safe. I walked by myself at night in Culiacan without harm. Same in Mazatlan.

Having said that, I should say that the US government warns Americans for traveling to Sinaloa so I will put their warning on here so you can make a decision based on my experiences and the USG warnings:

Quote:Quote:

Sinaloa: Mazatlan is a major city/travel destination in Sinaloa - see map to identify its exact location: You should defer non-essential travel to the state of Sinaloa except the city of Mazatlan where you should exercise caution, particularly late at night and in the early morning. One of Mexico's most powerful TCOs is based in the state of Sinaloa. With the exception of Ciudad Juarez, since 2006 more homicides have occurred in the state's capital city of Culiacan than in any other city in Mexico. Travel off the toll roads ("cuotas") in remote areas of Sinaloa is especially dangerous and should be avoided. We recommend that any travel in Mazatlan be limited to Zona Dorada and the historic town center, as well as direct routes to/from these locations and the airport.

IMO as long as you don't go out looking for trouble you will be fine. Its not as bad as being in places like Tamaulipas where the Zetas are in control.

Overall Impressions:

Sinaloa is awesome. Ive been to many places in Mexico. Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Cancun, Monterrey, DF, Sinaloa takes the cake in terms of women. I will say the girls here are better than GDL in my opinion. Its common to see many stunners on the beach in Mazatlan and the streets of Culiacan. Very feminine girls. Out of 3 weeks I spent in the state I got 3 bangs which is not bad. I'm still relatively new at game believe it or not. One can have a great time here. Culiacan might not be the place to go on vacation, but when it comes to Mexican girls, they are simply the best IMO, and hey, this forum is about finding gems right? If you guys ever happen to be in Mexico, check out Sinaloa sometime. You wont be disappointed.

Thanks for this great data sheet. I've never thought about going to Mazatlan before. I thought nothing on the West coast would be better than PV. But after seeing this, it's now on my radar. I just may try and make that fest you mentioned in February. Those girls up above are amazing. Nothing I love more than that light olive complexion paired with that long, straight, raven-black hair.

Only thing is that you said Culiacan is safe, while the state department warning is saying it's second in homicides to Juarez. But Mazatlan certainly sounds safe so if I head to a beach destination in MX, that will be it for sure.

Those US warnings kill me. Seems to be out of touch but it is what it is. I would advise to stay on the toll roads though. Those side roads are easy to get hemmed up at. What made you go there? Kind of off the beaten path. I am loving the pictures of the women. Remind me of the Monterrey fresas.

I wonder if the area is worth the hassle of the travel arrangements. I would imagine DF is the hub as it is for most of Mexico.

Side note: I just found out Monterrey has had 220+ murders this year. I was kicking it at the strip club in el centro at 3 am in the morning post Mayweather fight. No drama. Probably as with most cities, all the killings happen in specific areas. Do you know what part of town not to go into?

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

The thing about Culiacan is that yes there has been violence, but its strictly drug-related. In Bacon's "Mexico is Dangerous" thread we always talk about how Mexico is only dangerous if you're involved in the drug trade, its even more so with Sinaloa, since its taken over by the Sinaloa Cartel who is known for not going after the general population or tourists. You just have to exercise caution. Both places are great though.

Im glad to hear your interest in Sinaloa. I was shocked that there wasn't a sheet on Sinaloa here at all. In Mexico Sinaloa is wide known for their women.

Yes. Spanish is a must. Girls know no English whatsoever. But I think maybe conversational English is good as long as you can get your point across.

I have family in Culiacan, so that made me go there. Also for us mexicanos Sinaloa is in the same level in terms of women with Monterrey or Guadalajara and some may argue that Sinaloa girls are clear cut the best in Mexico, just depends who you ask. For some reason Americans never consider Sinaloa at all. In Mexico everybody will tell you that Sinaloa has fly women.

You should stay in Centro and Zona Costa Rica where the mall and the Universidad Autonoma de Sinaloa is. I almost forgot to mention the unversity. That place has some very nice girls. Zona Costa Rica is the very affluent part of Culiacan. As for Mazatlan I only stayed in centro and Zona Dorada. There is really nothing much aside from the city center or Zona Dorada anyway, but definitely stay away from the outskirts

Excellent report.

This place is in Mazatlan has excellent massages for low prices (an hour for about $20, the same massage is $35 in Tijuana) and for a gringo who can speak Spanish....there are nice attractive masseuses who like gringos.

Thanks. Yeah I think both places are great. Each is different in their own way. PV is more touristy, and more expensive though and youll find more western prices and many Americans. In Mazatlan its mostly Mexican tourists. For girls Mazatlan wins hands down, it gives you more of a Mexican experience, and more Mexican girls than PV because many of them cant afford to go to PV. PV is turning more and more into Cancun nowadays. I also think the nightlife is better in Mazatlan. Sinaloenses know how to party, plus Mazatlan has Carnaval every year. It just depends on your tastes.

Great info.

I lived in Mazatlan for a year in 2005 and agree its a cool spot. Definitely worth checking out during Semana Santa where the streets are packed with people.

The beach is pretty rubbish though but for the surfers there are some amazing waves around there especially if you brave it and go out of town
Pretty often we'd get breaks to ourselves with world class waves.

I have some friends that have surfed down there years ago.

Not looking for secret spots, but is it mostly beach breaks, or points or reefs?

Water temp? Best months?

How is the in town surfing? Or do you need to drive?

Beach breaks and point breaks.
You absolutely need a car to take advantage of the best spots.

My favourite wave closest to the center of town was Stone Island. You're best to stay in Olas Atlas (old town) to get access to this but yeah - you'll still need a car to get to it.

That is a right point break which wraps around the island and gets really good on south and s/w swells.

If you do stay in Olas Atlas there is a break out the front which is a swell magnet but I've never seen it get really good.

You'll get surf April/May to November....biggest is usually August/September from memory. Water temp is good...maybe 70-80 degrees throughout the season but a little bit cooler in April. Still at most you'd need a spring suit.

There is a spot called Escobars Ranch up the highway to the north of town which is amazing and never anyone there. We needed a guide to get us there and to be honest I cant help you finding it as I just dont remember.

Otherwise you have heaps of spots 1 -2 hours north....and resorts like Cardon Resort which are more or less private waves since they are so tough to get to.

Ha. I don't think there would be any bad treatment at all, a Colombian may cause curiosity by the locals. Narcos in Sinaloa admire Colombia. They still get most of their shipments from Colombia and its seen as brother country in terms of the narco world and many bands still make corridos about Pablo Escobar and Colombia. I can already see a narco offering you a drink haha. But you shouldn't worry because like I said before, as long as you stay out of trouble you'll be fine. The local people will be intrigued though, and would love to strike conversation with you. Sinaloa is not a place where many foreigners go to, so I can see a Colombian guy pulling girls, as long as you have game of course.

One thing to point out that is important to know is dancing. Sinaloa girls LOVE to dance and Banda music is very popular in Sinaloa. You will definitely come across people in Culiacan and Mazatlan on the streets who will be dancing banda. If interested, a white guy or a black guy who can learn how to dance banda will see his value go through the roof with the girls here. It not really that hard either. For Latinos your value wont be too much, since you are expected to learn how to dance (Mexico dudes know what Im talking about). But a white guy or a black guy who can pick up this dance will have his foot in the door with Sinaloa girls and virtually any girl in Northern Mexico. Here are some clips:

^^^^ Or you could be like this older guy haha. Dudes got moves.

Thanks for the rep. Even though Mexico is close to the United States, the major portion of the country still does not know English, even more so in Sinaloa and the northern states like Sonora, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Baja California, Durango, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Tamaulipas all need a high level of Spanish proficiency for gaming. This part of the country rarely sees tourists so many people would not know English. Your Gringo status will be highest here since foreigners are not a common sight (unless you're in the border towns) but girls are the most conservative, so be aware of that.

Mexico city would be more lenient in this regard since they have a huge expat community but don't count on it. You will need at least conversational Spanish to get by, same for Guadalajara. In terms of gaming, I noticed DF chicks more open to ONS, and they are rather easy for me actually. GDL is a little harder to game than DF but both places are in the middle in terms of difficulty id say (3/5) with game needed.

Only places I will say where you can get by with English is probably in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, PV or places that sees lots of tourists or westerners. Even then its still best to know some Spanish unless you just want to go for college American girls. There's a good thread here on Playa del Carmen that you should take a look at. I've only passed through these places so I don't have much Intel on these, but still pretty decent in terms of gaming.

El espinazo del diablo.

Hell, the whole region from Sinaloa to Chihuahua has some of the best riding in north America.

Hard to pick a spot.

This thread is killing me.

I think if you want to lock up a Latin woman, you can't go wrong with a Mexicana, there's a reason their divorce rate is like negative.

Yeah, crazy. You can see the old road that winds down the canyon. The bridge wasnt finished when I was there but I can imagine it makes a huge time saver.
