The last line of that article is golden:

"Or is it just time for Japanese men to grow up, have more sex and make more babies?"

Hahahaha you can't make this shit up. It's all your fault Japanese men!

This might sound like something out of Plato's Republic or science fiction, but I think Japan has actually done something right in allowing both men and women access to commodified sex. Obviously the physical aspects are what men pay for and the social "hosting" aspects are more popular with women.

The government could use tax dollars to create some kind of child rearing class that would leave parenting to full time government employees, especially in a country that doesn't have a defense budget (their constitution written by the U.S. after WW2 doesn't allow it). It sounds like a eugenics program, but why not let all those intelligent young professionals who are too busy to breed the old fashioned way have access to this government resource, and they can pay for their "fun" on their own time and not worry about their biological kids if they don't want to. It seems like most of the developed world is going this way, so some kind of program like this might help stabilize populations.

Won't work. Kids will grow up so fucked in the head they'll end up destroying whatever civilization raised them.

As bad as things are with normal parents, just imagine how bad things can get without parents. At least children from two-parent homes don't have serious violence issues, or zero loyalty to their countrymen.

The state cannot love a child like a mother and father can; nor can the state bring the motivation for honor and success like a family can.

I do agree, however, that two-parent families can still fail in the long run; plenty of cultures have died this way. My point is that out of many alternatives, two-parent families remain the best.

Or extended family structures, where people live with/ near their cousins and everyone helps out.

You hit the head on the nail !

Dont believe for a second that any of this is random - it is not.

It is intentional - Japan is typically ground zero for NWO social experiments.

That's the point. I think if any government tries to do this as an extreme form of social control it's going to blow up in their faces in an extreme way. Maybe that's a necessary step in the evolution of future societies though.

Isn't this the case with the Scandinavian countries already? The government provides massive all encompassing child care programs where children get raised essentially by government paid workers while the mom is off studying to become a licensed sexologist.

Why did the media jump on this "Japanese not reproducing" thing all of a sudden? I swear i've seen at least 10 different things in the last month.

That's cool that the BBC video begins in Yubari. I've been there twice by bicycle, it's kind of hidden in stretches of mountains. It's pretty depressing there but it seems they aren't being wholly truthful. They are making it out to seem that Yubari's population declined because of the low birth rates. In reality its only source of wealth was from the coal mines and they shut down. I even think there was an accident or something, I don't remember anymore. Obviously that's the reason why Yubari turned into a ghost town.

Saved me an hour.

"Matthew Hale 1 day ago
I just love how the reporter lays the blame for declining birth rate at the feet of men "who never had to mature". It's never suggested or explored that the women's standards might be too high or that the traditional views on child rearing come into conflict with women's desire to work. Nope, it's all cause of those damn "immature" man boys.
Here's what I got out of this documentary. Women are breaking through stereotypes, but they can't accept men who aren't stereotypical."

"I have refused to wear a condom all of my life, for a simple reason – if I’m going to masturbate into a balloon why would I need a woman?"

Supposedly Japan DOES bang... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/07...04452.html

"Showering with a raincoat has never been this awesome.

Japan just broke its own record for the "world's thinnest" condom when Sagami Original announced its ultra-light, polyurethane condom measuring at 0.01 millimeter. That's 0.01 millimeter thinner than the company's last iteration of the contraceptive tool, and one-sixth the width of the average human hair, according to Condom-Sizes.org.

The race for the thinnest condom may sound like a safety risk, but the company has conducted stress tests on 25,000 condoms. Condom-Sizes.org, meanwhile, had its readers give the rubbers the hard test:

On the first look this condom is so thin and fragile that some might be a bit skeptical in its durability. It proved it self in practical use however, as our reader confirmed ... Our reader who tried it likes it and says he can really feel a difference. He asked us for more of these.

That reader will have to wait for a worldwide release, as the condoms are only sold in Japan, and they're selling out quickly, the Daily Mail reports. The condoms' suggested retail price puts them at about $12.

"Honestly, I don’t know how we can make them thinner than this," a Sagami researcher told Tokyo Sports. "As long as there is a need for thinner, we will continue researching 0.009 mm and 0.008 mm thinness."

Sagami's condom unofficially beats out the Guinness World Record for thinnest condom, a 0.038 millimeter thick rubber by Okamoto Industries, Inc. The measurement was verified in January, 2012."

I remember this! This was the condom that my last LTR (Japanese chic) kept on raving about these ultra thin condoms called "____ original", saying I/we had to try them once in Japan.

unfortunately these are made in the Japanese size. . . Japanese condoms are lets say, petit, compared to western sizes. Even the 'ultrasuperlarge' ones I bought once in Kobe.
