Shooting in DC at the Navy Yard

Conflicting news reports. One article said the current count was four dead, 12 shot with a single gunman. But the most recent WashPost article says there may be three gunmen.

So this is why on my way to work this AM I saw a police car chillin then all of a sudden throw on its lights and speed off.

Quote:Quote:

Police say three shooters, including at least one in fatigues, have shot at least 10 people at the Washington Navy Yard.

Police said at least one of the shooters is “down,” but it was unclear whether that means the suspect has been arrested or shot. Two remain at large, and police believe they have pinned down one between the third and fourth floors of one of the buildings on the installation in Southeast Washington.

As hundreds of police officers from various agencies converged on the scene, officials at Reagan National Airport ordered all outgoing flights held.

Police on the scene said at least eight civilians were shot, along with the two police officers. One is a D.C. Metro Police officer who was shot two times in the leg and was evacuated on a helicopter that took off from a rooftop, police said. The other officer worked at the base. Except for the officer who was taken away by helicopter, all the other injured were being treated on the ground, police said.

A Navy Yard employee reached by telephone shortly before 10 a.m. said employees are still being told to shelter in place. She did not hear the shots, but described sirens, SWAT teams, Marines and a helicopter responding.

The U.S. Navy said that three shots were fired around 8:20 a.m. at the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building, where about 3,000 people work.

Police closed the 11th St Bridge as well as M St SE between 2nd and 4th streets SE due to the shooting. Entrances to the Navy Yard Metro station remain open.

U.S. Capitol Police confirmed enhanced security at the Capitol, but no immediate threat.

Tyler Elementary School at 10th and G streets in Southeast is on lockdown.

As helicopters circled overhead and emergency vehicles continued to rush to the scene, crowds of onlookers gathered on sidewalks and at a construction site near the Navy Yard, but police pushed them back, yelling at them to keep a distance from the grounds.

One employee who declined to give his name said he heard “blam, blam” inside one of the buildings, then someone pulled the fire alarm.

“We aren’t going back on base today,” he said. “[But] there are still people inside.”

Reports began circulating around 9:30 a.m. that the suspect was “down,” but D.C. police said the suspect is still on the loose and “hiding between floors.”

When I heard a out this, my guess was homegrown black Muslims. And that would fit the description that came out of one of the gunmen: black male in fatigues.

Let me know how those D.C. gun laws are working out.

Plus in the pic why is there 5 sailors in the background and only civilians helping the wounded?

Does anyone know the story with this picture? That CVS is across the street from the Navy Yard metro station, but it's a few blocks from the actual Navy Yard, where the shootings happened. Is this an actual shooting victim or someone who just fell or fainted?

I've worked a bunch of government jobs now, and just once i'd like to get one working for the Evil Shadow Government, who seem capable of pulling off amazingly-complex schemes requiring multiple departments working simultaneously with absolute precision, all working from offices look like they're designed by Michael Bay.

Somehow I keep ending up working for the other Government. You know... The 'Incompetence Fails Upwards'; 'Passive-aggressive notes about washing up in the sink'; multiple layers of middle management; red tape; underfunded; endless power point presentation; 'Who ate my clearly-labelled lunch?'; 'If you tinkle when you sprinkle...' one.

Just once, I'd like to be able to say "Enhance! Enhance!"

Not GOVERNMENT., but a FACTION in government. Control the handful of key departments and you do just about anything.

the rest of the over compartmentalized, unmotivated, employees just shuffle paper along and follow orders without much of anything ever.

i.e. President orders War
- infantryman follows orders - thinks he going to war for Protect Nation, Fight Terror, OR just plain following orders.

-General follows orders - thinks her going to war to: Protect Nation, Fight Terror, Steal the Oil, Show Strength, Protect Allies, Geo-Strategy, OR plain just following orders.

-President: knows that he is ordering the war because his sponsors need the territory for a Gas Pipeline. He cant say that outright of course, but leads the people below to believe that they are doing their jobs for :

-National Interest, Fight Terrorism, Discipline Wrongdoers, Protecting the Homeland, etc, etc,

The only people who know the real reason would be
1. President 2. Sec Def. 3. Vice Pres.

every body else would simply be 'following orders'.......

Not to be doom and gloomy, and I know this guy's motives aren't clear as of yet, but as more men become disenfranchised, I see more events like this happening. And this aspect to these events is rarely, if at all, debated. My money is on this guy not having much of a dating/social life. But it's still early so I could be wrong.

On cue and as predicted, the alleged perp has:

1. murky military - MIC connections and
2. what appears to be mental problems: (the perps/patsyies are always people with mental problems-drugged up)

typically easier victims of of mind manipulation/control by their handlers ....

How exactly would no gun control work in this situation? It wouldn't help because the employees still wouldn't be able to bring in guns to a federal building.

Pretty easy to get a job with one of the "Beltway Bandits." I've never worked for the government, but I have worked for government contractors that focussed on their employees averaging a certain number of "billable hours" regardless of the work that was actually done.

13 people were killed. Actually 12, since the 13th was the alleged shooter himself. Newark, New Jersey just had 9 homicides in 9 straight days. Yet, it wasn't the subject of national attention.

I agree with kdolo that rampages like this might be tied to government and elite covert interests.

But none of this would matter if the public had the proper perspective and didn't blow multiple homicides like this out of proportion.

Navy officials said Mr. Alexis was given a general discharge in 2011 after exhibiting a “pattern of misbehavior,” which officials declined to detail. The year before, Mr. Alexis was arrested in Fort Worth for discharging a firearm after an upstairs neighbor said he had confronted her in the parking lot about making too much noise, according to a Fort Worth police report.

Quote:Quote:

The police in Seattle, where Mr. Alexis once lived, said Monday that they had arrested him in 2004 for shooting the tires of another man’s vehicle in what Mr. Alexis later described to detectives as an anger-fueled “blackout.

Quote:Quote:

Upon leaving, he became a Navy contractor. At the time of the shooting, Mr. Alexis worked for a company affiliated with Hewlett-Packard that serviced the Navy’s Internet system, Hewlett-Packard said in a statement.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but something is just not adding up. In order to get a job in corporate America as a Black man, you kinda have to be squeaky clean since you never ever get the benefit of the doubt. Any hint of thugginess or anger issues and you are not even going to make it past the revolving doors for an interview. This guy not only he had a good job but he was able to get a security clearance after getting general discharge for "patterns of misbehavior" in the Navy. Who signed off on his SF-86?

Also, how was he able to have two separate shootings incidents and not have anything stick? Even in liberal NYC with a ton of Black prosecutors, judges and juries this guy would have been doing crazy time for shooting up those tires. This guy was like the Black Zimmerman prior to this shooting.

I am sure this shooter is related or associated with somebody big[Image: tinfoilhat.gif]. This is some real secret squirrel shit out of a Tom Clancy novel. Whoever this guy "Rabbi" was, it gotta be someone who is so high enough up the food chain who was able to save his ass multiple times regardless of jurisdiction. But the big question is WHY?

Shiiiiiiiiiiit, not even Darryl Strawberry got thrown as many lifelines as this guy had.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to obtain a secret or public trust clearance. Not only do I have one, but many of my friends, some of whom if you googled their names would immediately pull up arrest records, have one too.

Those are the most basic ones you can get.

Also, the incident where he shot the guy's tires wasn't in NYC. That happened in Seattle.

Without even looking far into this case, I've caught a few media reports that mentioned the guy had plans to move to Thailand and was super fascinated with the region, even having friends in America that were Thai, and he'd visited there before.

My gut reaction is, "Why bother planning this international move if you're also planning a massacre?" People who are moving to somewhere like Thailand have their rose-colored glasses on and all they do is dream about this huge change in their life and how liberating it's going to be...how perfect their life will be. Every shitty day they have further solidifies their plans.

If you ask me, something doesn't add up...

Also, the people who clown on conspiracy theorists crack me up. Is everything a conspiracy? Of course not.

But for the government has admitted both to mind control programs and to the consideration of false flag attacks against the American public for political purposes. They've also admitted to creating a poison dart gun that penetrates clothing, leaves nothing more than a red dot, feels like a mosquito bite, and causes a heart attack. This last instance in particular was revealed 38 long years of technology ago, so imagine what they could have created by now.

Sounds crazy, sure. But this is no paranoid delusion either; the weapon was openly revealed and discussed in a congressional hearing.

Yet if anyone suggests that a man may have been under the influence of MK-Ultra, questions whether an attack on the public could be government-orchestrated, or finds a seemingly natural death suspicious, "realists" make jokes about tinfoil hats.

Maybe these people are jumping to conclusions, sure, but given that all of the above has been entertained or experimented with by the CIA, it's ludicrous to react to the theories in this manner. And do you really think all such programs just disappeared because the American public wagged their fingers at the darker side of the American government and military and told them it was a no-no?

I venture that if you do think that, it's you that is the delusional one.

It's possible this was just some crazed idiot with a gun. But I caution anyone about ridiculing people with seemingly-strange ideas when you haven't properly looked at the facts, or the evidence that these types of things can and just may go on. Outlandish ideas often open our eyes to startling truths, and honestly, I don't find these ideas so outlandish given the history behind them.

Just because reality doesn't fit your worldview doesn't make you a realist...

If someone wanted to do something, they would need a cover. No one on their right criminal mind shuts out of the blue. That may be the cause of the Thai story. The guy is a Buddhist who speaks Thai. There you go guys, we now have "Buddhist terrorism"

True, the government does take part some mind control stuff. However, some people like believe every single incident is the government's fault. Let's accept stuff for what it is, it is possible and reasonable for a mentally ill person to get a gun and shoot random people. It's happened before, a former marine in Texas gave a gun to a another marine with PTSD. The marine with PTSD then killed the other marine and his buddy.
