Back in my PUA days, I used to go out 'sarging' with a guy who learned from Adam Lyons. Now he has his own dating coaching business. He used to give me good advice in clubs and bars.
I have to say, what he pulled off was pretty impressive. He took social circle game to the next level -- entourage game.
He basically organized these giant coed meetups down in Florida. We'd all get a bite to eat and then prepare to hit a club. But first he would give a little speech about how "these girls aren't your dates. You're here to protect them, like little sisters, pay for drinks, etc."
We would pair off into one guy, one girl and like 50 of us would just come in the club, one after the other, straight into the VIP. It was pretty baller.
The value tradeoff is that we'd all walk in the club with massive social proof and perceived status. Back then, I really didn't know what I was doing, and I had the whole PUA weirdo shit happening. But this guy...he cleaned up!
He divulged to me in private that he would get all the girls' numbers under a legitimate pretext. Then he would message them privately on a weekday or something, show a little interest, and meet up for dates. God knows how many of these girls he divided and conquered. And a lot of these chicks were gorgeous.
The whole thing imploded upon itself when some of the other guys who had game started shagging girls he laid claim to. He was a nice enough guy and he gave me some free coaching back in the day. A couple years later, after I sorted my game, we met up in Miami where he was doing some coaching.
One thing that always bothered me about him (and a lot of these 'PUA' type guys in general) is that I always felt like he was trying to game ME. i.e. making me jump through his hoops, validate myself to him, invest, qualify. And I'd read all the literature and done hundreds of approaches. So I knew what he was doing and I felt irritated that he was so transparently trying to fuck with my head all the time.
On a man level - he never answered my questions straight or talked to me directly. I told him I didn't like that pussy shit. We're men, tell me what's on your mind and we'll work it out. But he was such a PUA droid that he couldn't even have a normal conversation with another guy.
But I digress - dude got a lot of ass. So credit where it's due.

I think it would be wrong to judge a PUA's worthiness just on how much he pulled during one night or weekend. Game is a sustained effort that is A) very variable, with strong ups and downs, and B) made up of more than SNLs. Sure, you can get the gist of someone's overall level of game, as in what vibe he is creating or what his body language is like, but not more. Definitely not in such a short time.
It's also the reason why none of us would never accept a "challenge" from haters around us that are trying to incite a PUA into "proving that pickup works in a closely monitored experiment" (no one would want to stake all of his reputation on just a game of chance).

When I hung out with Mystery and Matador, we went to venues where I was not known, nor did I host at.
Proof is in the pudding: multiple forum members have met me and seen how I roll. Whether it's a spot where I'm known or not, I can crush 99.9% of known PUA's.
Next time you're in LA or I'm in your neck of the woods pick a spot and you'll see my friend.
Next.
I bought your book, and you have more life experience with bitches than most pick up guys, eg: banging college slutz.

I have not seen any famous PUA in action (other than me
), but I have some trusted friends take RSD bootcamps.
3 of them took one with Tyler himself together, and they all praised him as an instructor, altough to me it seems they where more impressed by his personality than his pick up skills. Another took one with Jeffy and Papa, and says they got drunk and ignored him all night while they talked, sitting down and not approaching. He asked for his money and got shit back.
The last one took one with Alex I think, and tells as if he was a sex god. He is a routine monekey though, so I wouldnt know. He woud have been satisfied with a "phone close" and a couple canned routines.
I went to one of Tyler's free tours. He definitely has cultivated a larger than life cult leader persona from all those years of teaching guys with issues. Lot of people who get into PUA see themselves as damaged and are looking for someone to follow.
I was able to see him in action on one of his bootcamp nights and wasn't too impressed.
One of my acquaintances took a RSD bootcamp with Tyler and managed to get his money back. It was complicated, and he had to jump through many hoops. There's definitely a formula for getting a refund.

This has also been my experience with many advanced pick up guys. You get the feel that they're trying to manipulate you.

Funny that you mention that. I went to a Boston based PUA seminar. I paid good money to hear a guy who used to do RSD boot camps. At the end of the seminar, he said something odd that made me get up and leave at the end. He said that we would have to pay a fee to join him and others for a "special dinner" to extend the seminar. I never went back.

I did a bootcamp with Sasha Daygame. As stupid as it may sound and I am not here to advertise for this guy but it changed my life. Maybe I al I needed was a kick in the ass but he managed it to destroy my approach anxiety and to get me on the right path.
Of course one bootcamp couldn't change my life but because of the fact that I stay tuned to it I really experienced some great successes.
I think you have to find a coach who fits with you as a person and who has nearly the same character as you. So yeah, I think the right coach can help.

I met Cajun, while he was running a bootcamp, at Precinct Bar,Melbourne, Australia. This bar is known for having a bad guy:girl ratio, but the girls always dress well and look good here.
He does this weird thing with his facial and body expression that actually chills you down, almost like hypnosis. It really is quite the mindfuck, been trying to work out how he does it.
He was doing demonstrations for his students.
Every girl he approached was ultra receptive with him, letting him touch her on the back and the girls had very open body language.
He was chubby and around my height( 5'4) and has this disgusting beard and hair, but all his approaches were a different story. He was hooking really well, but I cannot confirm that he gets laid. If I did not meet him, I'd still have a height limiting belief.

I met Sam Django the other day in London, he was doing a bootcamp and was in set. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but it looks exactly like in the videos on daygame.com

I've seen RSD Julien, Jeffy, and Alex teaching bootcamp at the Maddy.
Jeffy is the one I was least impressed by, he was hitting on some fat black chick at last call. Pretty much on par from what I've heard about him(that he'll fuck anything and has no standards).
Alex and Julien are both cool. Julien was getting recorded by a camera they had under a jacket the night I saw him.
