IF I were that kids father, I would be pissed. . .untill seeing that interview, in which case I would give him a high five and pay the fine myself. Not letting a woman talk down to him like that deserves a reward. It would mean that my parenting was a succcess. That and his attitude is part of what makes successful people, successful.
