Holiday Travel Suggestions?

I'm looking for ideas for a getaway over x-mas/NYE.

any suggestions for places during that period?

Right now I'm thinking of Miami (can never go wrong) vs somewhere new (?colombia) or EE (cold though)

would have almost 10 nights; asia might be too far.

thanks..

Most exciting places to visit, for me, have been in order:

1. North Korea
2. Turkmenistan
3. Eritrea
4. Iran
5. Transnistria
6. Burma
7. Angola
8. Libya
9. China
10. Western Sahara

All of these are safe places (except a bit of risk in Angola).

If you are visiting strictly for the women, and you only have 10 days, you should be looking strictly at easiness. I would recommend Scandinavia.

@ S Derekson,

those are some interesting places you've been to. I doubt any forum member has a comparable list

what's bringing you there?

Just tourism. I like visiting places that have some political issue going on, because it excites me to witness history in the first-person. Why would I go to Miami if, for the same price, I can go see a completely different way of life in a place most have never heard of? Seeing a church in Europe does not excite me, I have seen plenty. But seeing Kim Il Sung's pretty face around every corner, talking to post-revolutionaries in Libya, or living with exiled Saharans in Tindouf is not something I will get from visiting a typical magazine destination. It is important to feel alive and do things that excite me, so when I find a place that interests me, I make sure to travel there quickly and not leave it for "some day".

It is also very rewarding to travel to places where people still appreciate the small things. Some of these cultures have instilled in me a love of humanity that makes me depressed after returning to the West.

I don't go to these places for the women, I visit strictly for tourism. Game is something I practice at home or in very specific countries I wouldn't otherwise visit for tourism.
