Owning a Zebra

I found an opportunity to buy an old zebra for a low price and I've convinced my cousin to buy it and keep it on his ranch.
How much land does it require (small pasture is enough?)

Can I ride it? My guess is no...
Still looks badass, and when it gets too old its edible just like horse. It was gonna get slaughtered anyways, now it will get a few extra years.

Yeah, you're not gonna be riding it. Zebra's are irascible creatures, which is why they were never domesticated like horses and asses were.

Here's something:

"Unlike cattle, which often stay in their assigned range even if the fence is breached, zebras are always looking for a way out. An 8-foot fence is an absolute requirement, and you have to inspect it regularly. (Other animals, like feral pigs and deer, can sometimes break through your fence and free the zebras.)

Zebras are in the same family as horses, and you can feed them the same types of food. If your grass is plentiful and in good condition, you can just let them graze. If your lawn isn't up to snuff, supplement their diet with hay, alfalfa, and carrots."

No, it was a rare buy because its old and the guy who owned it died so the family is selling it.

Its not like I'm trying to buy a lion...

Fortunately (Unfortunately?), its got a lame leg so it won't be jumping any fences.

Yeah, my cousin is good friends with a hunting buff. I'm sure he can mount the head.

...

Regarding lions, I looked into it out of curiosity one time and learned they need lots of meat and expensive vet care. Not happening unless you have lots of cash.

This is like some kind of RVF/Seinfeld mutant thread. BTW, what is the proper pronunciation: zee-bra or zeh-bra?

I think Zebra's are the best. Girls already get orgasms when riding horses, and love them to death on top of it, so Zebra's are probably the best bet.

Take mad cash to pull it off though, you'd need a stable and a stable-hand at minimum to make sure it is properly cared for (else it'll die).

It'd be super tough to pull off the logistics on this one.

We're already at Zebra Game. Show me a game forum that's more avant-garde than us.

El Mech will be onto this before you know it. Flipping zebras for profit.

Seems you can't eBay a live zebra though - I just searched it and found no useful results.
