@G- you were precocious as a kid. Boxing and surfing probably helped. Growing up in hyper-masculine cultures opens your eyes. Most younger people grew up in a different era. Hell, I didn't start swooping girls properly until beginning of college.

Yeah, I think you are right.

The funny thing is, I still felt like a late bloomer.

I had friends taking girls down in 9th grade.

I didn't really hit my stride till 11th and 12th.

And since those guys had a head start, I took me till age 22 or so to get even and 24-25 to supersede them.

And this is kind of what I am talking about. By age 25 I had already 8-11 years in The Game.

That was a guy like Mystery's whole career (even longer).

Not getting angry- was just curious because I've noticed that you take jabs at Mystery often. I think he's funny too, but I wasn't sure if you had a bad run-in with them or whatever.

I agree- go to the source and then check out what's been done after. When I first found out about all this, I went to the most obvious examples I could find and later found out about the other stuff.

But, I'm curious if they are any pre-Mystery gurus in particular that you are talking about, or if you are just saying for guys to get their lifestyle together in general.

Yeah, of course.

Someone has to set the record straight.

If some kid is telling you Drake is the greatest musician of all time, you would shake your head and tell him to check out Mozart, Louis Armstrong, Jimi Hendrix and BB King, right?

Yeah, guys with there lifestyle together. Lifestyle is Game.

Life is Game.

At least it was before a bunch of guys with eyeliner co-opted the term.

It always strikes me as strange when guys on here say things like, "I just started getting into game..." or "I first learned game from Mystery..."

What the f*ck does that mean?

Game is everything. Hustling, Swooping, Charisma, Sports, Making Money, Traveling, Everything.

My advice is look to people in the past who inspire you.

One has to learn for oneself.

It is only your life that is at stake.

TBH, I still like Chris brown. Brings back memories of slutty college girls. Every girl I knew would get into grinding position when Cyclone came on.
oops, meant Kiss Kiss with T-pain and chris brown, but cyclone was another one of those girls go crazy songs.

Life is game, I agree, but truly playing the game involves red-pill thinking. It involves knowing the reality about getting girls, not getting tied down by bullshit limiting beliefs, and not allowing yourself to be locked into a social system that sees most guys have a few drunken one night stands in college, then get hitched to some annoying bitch, work 9-5 like a dog for years at a job they hate, get divorce-raped at some point, and live in a miserable McMansion in suburbia with an hour-long commute so they can afford to drive a low-end BMW and have a couple of flat-screen TVs.

I think for a lot of guys, Mystery or some other "game guru" who wrote an ebook, is their first introduction to the idea that all is not as it seems, and that they have a choice to opt-out of the above-detailed life. Statistically, most guys are going to grow up to be betas, by force of circumstances. Discovering that they have an actual choice -some real power- in the dating market, and that they don't have to be a typical desperate, thirsty dude who is so tired of his hand that he worships the chubby 5 who consents to date him, is their first decisive step toward masculinity and freedom. Game as we know it simply does not exist in large portions of American society.

In the rural midwestern town where I went to high school, the only guys who had anything close to "game" were the jocks. My stepbrother was the king of jocks. He played every sport and was great at all of them. He didn't get laid through game, though, he got laid through the 'micro-fame' that came from being king of the hill in a small town. I preferred to read books. (One of those books happened to be Mystery's, which, among other books, helped to plant a seed.) Fast forward some years, and now my stepbrother works in a cubicle somewhere for some insurance company. He has a car payment and a house payment, can't get a girlfriend, doesn't know why, and describes himself as a 'loser.' I, on the other hand, am making solid plans and laying the groundwork to expat and travel the world, am getting laid regularly with a variety of good-looking girls who are younger than I am, live in a nice pad within walking distance of work and three bars, and dedicate a good deal of my free time to improving myself and learning new skills and a couple of foreign languages, so that I can turn the world into my oyster. If I hadn't read some ebooks, which set things in motion in my mind, I probably would have gotten married right out of college, and be stuck right now in a job I hated, with a couple of kids and a mortgage.

So yeah, as much as I think Mystery's style is tacky and shallow, and he might be overrated as a player, I also realize that without his contribution, the study of game and red-pill thought as we know it would probably not exist, at least not in the form and extent it has now. I think he deserves some props for that.

I will say that it is more clear to me now than ever that those guys in the picture have the tackiest sense of fashion.

Even if Neil and Mystery were trying to rock the pimp look, the other guys look like they dressed to go to work at Kinkos.

I'm not sure they'd be considered "gurus" because I don't think they ran boot camps or workshops or whatever, but what about guys like Casanova, Iceberg Slim, Rudolph Valentino, Paganini, Roger Vadim, Peter Beard, Fela Kuti, Warren Beatty, Wilt Chamberlin, Pablo Picasso, David Lee Roth, Profirio Rubirosa, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Gunter Sachs, Klaus Kinski, Serge Gainsbourg, Charles Bukowski, et al? Many of them wrote books as well.

Didn't you post a scene from Husbands the other day as an example? There you go, Cassavetes was a guru before Mystery was even born! Hell, he inspired Martin Scorsese to become a filmmaker...

On a side note, Kinski's X-rated autobiography may very well be the most entertaining book I've ever read.

I think there's also a good chance than he meant to write that that was his notch count for the year. It would be consistent with the rest of what he wrote, which was pretty detailed and clear.

You are suggesting he fucked 56 women in one year when he wrote:

Over the course of the last 6 years, Ive fucked 56 girls (not all FUCKED, but sexual cum shoots so I call them fucking).

Then explain why he bragged (in zipped mASF archives):

Subject: RE: Do I have to be a jerk to use SS?
Post Date: September 16, 1998, 09:00:00 PM (EDT)

... Ive had sex with 9 girls this year ... .

So maybe he actually swooped what? One girl? Zero?

Yeah. I would be real careful idolizing someone like that.

Please guys shoot a little higher.

Besides, what kind of weirdo even says "Ive fucked 56 girls (not all FUCKED, but sexual cum shoots so I call them fucking)"

Honestly, ask yourself, would a straight guy even say that?

Oh wait. Nevermind.

Lol @ everyone clowning on mystery.

Yes he did stupid things like wearing fuzzy hats but take a step back. You're on aGame forum. The guy was the first person to take pick up main stream in a real way.

So this forum wouldn't even be here without his work. That said no one has the right to really hate on him besides joking about how his style is passé and also that his numbers were not great.

You guys do realize you're on a player forum though right?

If this is really a numbers debate, you should be able to grab a new notch every couple weeks if you go out cold and night game (no online game). The USA is more of a hook up culture than it was even 3 years ago.

Who started talking to girls and getting ass without PUA techniques? I think hanging out with the wrong crowd got me started and opened my eyes. I would not be where I am with girls if I walked a straight line my whole life. I wonder if that's the majority of PUA fans - guys who never fucked around growing up and weren't exposed to the slutty side of girls

I also don't get the Mystery hate. Mystery's value is not in how many bangs he got, or his fashion sense, but in the ideas he put out there. His formalization of game and male/female dynamics was the catalyst for much of what we talk about today.

Look at Nietzsche. Dude was a loser right? Not swole. Probably shit fashion sense. How many women did he bang in his entire life? 1? 0? Beta as fuck. He wrote some books, that's about it, right? Hating is the easiest thing in the world, that's why people do it.

Because a lot of us can't understand his "techniques". We were talking to and fucking girls long before we even know who he was. Discussing game with friends long before discovering him and his nail polish [Image: tard.gif]

It's old school. He's going against the grain of manhood with his nail polish and the rest of his clown suit. You want to look like a clown you'll be treated like one. I'm guilty of this and G probably is also. It's like fat shaming but for guys acting gay

The hate still doesn't make sense because we are posting on a game forum. It's not like Roosh was in Houston's situation where he was exposed to the slutty side at an early age.

So basically the hate is for people who believe they are "cooler" for having "found game" before the book came out.

Wasted time.

No the hate is for men that think he crossed the line on to the gay side to try to get laid and don't have any respect for him.

You're still on a game forum created by a guy who read his book, got good at game and now has a game forum... See the issue?

In terms of the gay stuff, could care less if wearing pink pants and a hat got me laid with an 8/9, I would be wearing pink pants and a purple hat.

Results with women is the goal. I could care less if a bunch of dudes think I am gay. If I cared about what average dudes thought my life would suck.

Yeah that's fine, also found this site googling how to get laid with South American girls.

Issue is the creation of this forum was spawned by his book. So it's a bit retarded.

As a fun hypothetical: lets say the only thing that gets you laid in the future is fuzzy hats and pink pants. Now what are you going to do? Well any smart/straight man would wear fuzzy hats and pink pants.

Yes I realize the example would never happen in a billion years but hopefully it makes sense.

Results are everything.

I do agree with the bolded. The greatest coach of all time in basketball? I bet he wasn't the greatest player of all time.

Greatest boxer of all time? Muhammed Ali, perhaps? How good of a boxer was his trainer? Bet he wasn't better than Muhammed.

It is one thing to be able to do something and another thing to be able to etch those values out so that others can emulate those and form them into traits of their own.

I know guys who bang loads of lizards and can't even tell me how they do it.

That being said, I haven't read any of Mystery's material cos y'all are hogging all the good stuff. Links, anyone?

Resorting to homosexual attacks is not going to work.

No I would never suck a mans cock for money and that is not at all related to what is posted here.

Look at the facts, if wearing a stupid hat and pants got him laid more in his time period well wear a stupid hat and pants. When on the beach I will walk around with a hat that says "sluts" on it and that works. Does that make me a faggot? No. It works.

It is actually more homosexual to say you wouldn't wear white pants if it in fact got you laid.

But please let all the "eProps" come down for attempting to out me as a faggot which of course makes zero sense if someone is literate.

I'm not trying to out you I said he sold out his manhood. You can understand what an old school blue collar guy like me thinks when he see him right? I would bet my life Mystery would suck cock if the price is right.

Could you imagine dressing like that and getting your nails done to go out and meet women? WTF is going through your head at that point?

He was simply finding what works.

Again same situation, say we have some metro sexual revolution and the only way to get laid in your area is to wear pink pants and a fuzzy hat. You will absolutely wear pink pants and a fuzzy hat if you are a straight man.

He clearly went overboard but you've got to do weird ass shit to see if it works. No where was there any actual homosexual acts, if so that's a 100% different story.

I would happily wear a ridiculous outfit if it works, because again I care about getting laid. Not what a dude thinks of me.

You're basically being judgmental based on an outfit with no actual facts.

Selling out your manhood makes no sense if you're getting laid.

Yes it does. You are mimicking a woman to get closer to them because you're not enough of a man to overpower your targets.
