i found this video here about Crimea specially the (Yalta) region:

is this just a glossy cover video meant to boost tourism and give rich old men erections? or is Yalta worth going to. anybody been there? what type of place is Crimea, Ukraine (yalta).

because my understanding about Ukraine is that we have to know the language, have good contacts and need time to be in the environment and we need to bring our A-games too. that' the formula

so is Yalta just a touristy spot that has already been ruined from over-exposure the way Odessa has been rumored to be ruined?

who said Odessa is ruined???? It was never that good in the first place.Its NOT the tourists that ruin Odessa, its the Odessans themselves. During tourist season Odessa improves partly due to the tourists and partly due to the native Odessans going to dacha's, traveling Europe etc.Crimea is ruined by the tourists and the fact the girls are being taken there by well to do Russians.

good points.i can't judge i'm only going by what i see and what people tell me because i have not visited these places yet. one ameican guy i talked to who has friends & family in odessa says that girls there are spoiled rotten and they're a waste of time. Local guys he knows who live there told him this.

and i'm thinking its the sex tourists, and the fact that there is alittle improving economy there thanks to tourism and the fact that guys with $$ come there too along with those marriage agencies make the girls know their value and they're pickier and have egos.

so i'm wondering if Yalta is the same deal. A "used-to-be" pussy paradise turned into a place that's a waste of time. because i would think that even videos like the one i posted above is sort of a way to get those donald trump type of old guys with long money to "invest" in that area. and i also know that girls from other places in Ukraine vacation there too.

i have learned that once a place gets exposed it gets ruined. but i'm not sure. i could be wrong.

i have family and a home in Odessa. Those things make Odessans worst NO doubt but it stems from many factors.
1. Odessans have always seen foreigners, even in soviet times so there is NO foreigner god factor.
2. They think they live iN the best city in FSU ,if Not the world lol. In FSU Odessa was the hip place everyone wanted to live so unlike all the other cities where girls think and admit they live in a shit hole, Odessans are actually proud of their city to the extreme. My sister in law had the balls to say Odessa was nicer than Cape Cod lol.
3.BECAUSE of #2 they are snobs. As we know Moscow residents think they are above other FSU residents. Odessans KNOW they are better,since during soviet times everyone wanted to move there.They elevate themselves above Moscow in being cultured and cosmopolitan. After all they live in a city that was built by Europeans s and ruled by Europeans away from the watchful eyes of CZARS.
4. Add the fact that women are elevated as equal ,maybe above men there. being a truly capitalist economy, women have the same opportunities as men to make money.Retail and business doesn't discriminate. It was the 1st city i saw women driving expensive cars even 11 years ago.

In the summer it seems the majority of native Odes-sans flee the city and its all the tourists.Winter is hell there lol.

anybody planning to go to odessa anytime soon should probably read what you said and prepare for some pretty girls with egos.

This english lady evaluates odessa girls trying to find husbands the blonde girl at the 4:20 min mark is a business owner. she seems nice but she clearly she has alittle ego. so you are probbaly right that there are some female ballers there that are alittle high maintenance.

but back to Crimea. anybody been there? what's the deal with that place? jimkur says that russians with money bring women there and that's the spoiling factor. can anyone confirm this?

its funny because the video above about Crimea, Yalta ( is touristy advertisement with pretty women, but the fact that girls there can potentially be spoiled by the tourism is the very reason to NOT go there.
