Meanwhile a man in the US can be arrested and put on the sex offenders registry for daring to pee against a tree in the dead of night. I see no difference.

No one in particular, just that there's such a fuss being made about the fact that she only posed topless and shouldn't be stoned for that while a man can have his life effectively ruined if a cop sees him pissing.

A) The whole Rosa Parks thing, if memory serves, was a pre-planned operation, not a spontaneous act. It and the subsequent events had the effect of inflaming racial tensions dramatically, and was perhaps not the best way to go about effecting change, if the aftermath which we see today is any indication. But I digress.
You've risen rabble rousing to an art form with this comment. The arm chair historian over here being absolutely sure that Rosa Parks and 'her kind' should of gone about it another way. It's too funny for words really.

If you're smart enough you'll figure out the difference between Femen and the freedom riders like Rosa Parks.

I never said anything about "her kind," nor did I say with certainty that the methods employed in the Civil Rights movement were the wrong ones. I'm not God, and, not being endowed with omniscience, have no way of knowing for sure how things would or would not have gone. Though, I do think it's pretty clear that the end result we see today is not optimal. What I object to is the knee-jerk assumption which Westerners often make today, that individual protest is always or often the best way to deal with injustices. This mentality comes from our collective worship of democracy, and its platitudes about "power to the people." Makes a great slogan, but generally poor government, when taken to heart. It's a distraction. The people are happy, and the powers that be can run things how they like.

We should sometimes question our basic assumptions. If they prove correct, well and good. If not, they should be changed.

In any case, Rosa Parks is not a good example to look at here, because, prearranged or not, she wasn't facing lashings or death for refusing to give up her seat. She risked nothing more than a minor confrontation or brief arrest and a small fine, both of which she got. The stakes for this girl are much higher, and she should have considered deeply whether or not it was worth it before running that risk. Especially when we consider that Mrs. Parks faced institutionalized racial discrimination, whereas this girl merely has the 'misfortune' of living in a conservative society, and would like to advance the cause of radical feminism there. It's not like she's being forced to marry some man she hates, or something like that.

hmm, she's not really helped herself has she, if she's trying to help herself than this was not a good course of action considering the country she comes from, even if it is one of the more liberal muslim countries. She could have used plenty of western feminist tactics

Hi, something is wrong with that pic. I have been to Tunisia many, many times and I can tell you for sure the buildings in the back are not in Tunisia. Maybe France or somewhere else, but definitely not in Tunisia.

In the other hand, the women from Tunisia do not need to be saved by anybody. Tunisia is the most open arabic country in the world, scarves (or hijabs) are forbidden and their women behave very much like western women. Unfortunately is not a poosy paradise either, because there are plenty more men than women, the local women move in small circles hidden from the public view and the culture makes very difficult for them to date a non-muslim. In addition, due to the islamic revolution there is a curfew so it complicates things even more.

For now - with the Islamic party winning the last election things might take a turn for the worse. Same thing in Turkey - hailed as an Islamic democratic paradise, but religious minorities suffer and it's gradually becoming more strict.

It's Santiago, Chile and they're protesting for education reforms. Chileans are all about PDAs.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

I live in Tunisia, First, Tunisia Doesn't have the Sharia Law, and it's not a strict Muslim country, it's like Light Muslims ( like Turkey ). Amina is the first Tunisian Femen Activist. after posting these pictures, she got arrested for a week and then got released.
also, have you watched the video of the Femen members who tried to attack The Tunisian President in Paris?

Damn, we've got people in Tunisia on the forum...I agree with Fadi. Tunisia is relatively secular. I went to Tunis in 2011 and it felt almost like Europe.

The last one isn't bad, but look at her mean masculine glare.
Most FEMEN bitches are flat-chested, homely in the face or just look annoying as fuck because their faces are in the middle of cussing or staring people down like mean bulls. Not good for getting into the mood. I got hate fucking out of my system many years ago.

There is no mystique, no seductive elements, just future cat ladies baring it all and giving men headaches.

Some of them have good facial bone structure, but their permanent scowls make them not look breedable so it's a waste.

Think of them as Nicki Minaj. She has the body and face, but... ehh..... I just want to punch her in the face and that's it.
