Guys, I'm thinking of wearing a Tuxedo to an event where every guy will be wearing casual jeans and dress shirts.
It is a social event, but I am testing the waters to see what reaction I get from women that will be there as I will be the only James bond penguin suit wearer to the event.
What are some cool things I can say as I almost know fir sure I will be asked.
The goal is to compare my swoop stats with my wing. He will dress in club jeans, and a nice button down shirt (like 90% of The guys there) and i will wear a tux!
I am thinking i will be able to taje a girl home, from The attention i get. My wing rhinks ill just look needy and foolish.

armanid27,
I think this could be a real solid move.
Couple of things to avoid:
Make sure its a place that the waiters aren't wearing tuxedos. You don't want to look like the help!
Rental Tuxedos are often weesh. And itchy.
Get one custom made.

Ha!!! Good one G. Calling now to check the wait staff wardrobe! Yup Custom fitted all the way.
I was also kicking around the idea of going out to cafes, malls and day game in a tux. Again, trying to see if it opens smiles, and eye contacts moreso than looking like everyone else.
I need some good reasons for wearing one as I walk around.

Do it. Just wear a nice tux. "G"s comment about not looking like the staff is good advice. Add a little "Latin Flair" with a cool color scheme or a nice flower pin or something like that.
One time i wore a tux to a nightclub and alot of girls asked me if i worked there. I would say "ya" and just sit down at their table and start drinking with them. I told them that i was gonna quit soon so i didn't really care what my boss thought. It was a good conversation starter. I was different and unique and carefree.
Being the best dressed guy in the room is almost always a good thing.
Just say that you came straight from a State Department dinner, Or the Salsa Awards, Or you were entertaining a rich client from Russia. Something like that.

Wow!!! Those are really good excuses. Saying I cane back from an awards ceremony is cool! That leads right into girls getting hooked in what award u won or went to etc.
The event is next week, so I'll let you guys know how it goes!

I was hoping I can say that on My way to a wedding/award ceremony/important dinner and take it from there. It's an effort to test how much easier it would be to break ice and draw positive attention!

If you're gonna have a guy with you, i think he should wear a tuxedo also.
Two guys might provide an added believability factor.
Aloha!
