Mexico City Data Sheet

First post here but I look at different threads on this forum from time to time. I've been in Mexico City for around 5 months and this thread was super helpful for me when I got here. I figure I can add my thoughts
I'm 30, 6'2", white, from Los Angeles for reference. I'm more of the quiet type, not super talkative. When I got here I had a decent amount of Spanish vocabulary, but I couldn't actually say sentences or have a basic conversation. I know enough words now, and understand sentence structure, that I can string together a decent amount of sentences, and understand what people are saying to me a lot of the time. Mexico City is the first place I have lived outside of Los Angeles and San Diego in my life. I've been wanting to travel and live a more adventurous life, so I decided to come here first. 1 month has turned into almost 6 months so far, although I am ready to leave and check out some other cities. I work remotely which is how I set up this lifestyle
My thoughts:
Roma/Condesa are best spots to live. They are close to the fun nightlife and nice places to be at during the day. I started out in Condesa and now live in Roma. Condesa is a cool spot to start out in, but I got bored of it and moved to Roma. I don't think I would live in Condesa again. Roma is more interesting if you like going out at night. Coyoacan is cool in the daytime, but isn't that fun at night. Lots of couples and families. I like the food there a lot and it has a good authentic Mexican vibe. It's a nice date spot. Polanco is alright but isn't that fun to hang out in the daytime. I'm more into the chill vibe instead of the rich vibe so I like Roma more, but Polanco has some cool spots. I still need to check out the clubs more over there. Reforma is another spot that is pretty nice and has decent nightlife. A lot of people work over there so it has a lot of professional girls walking around during the week
Daygame - It's ok. The only spot I've seen that has a ton of girls walking around is Reforma on weekdays. Zocalo has a lot of girls walking around, but 95% of them are ugly in my opinion lol. And it's a chaotic clusterfuck with neverending people. Roma/Condesa have less girls walking around, but they tend to be higher quality. I find walking around for hours to do daygame annoying, so I try to just hit on girls in my everyday life (when I'm getting coffee/at the gym/at the park, etc). I fucked an Argentinian girl that was getting off the elliptical at the gym. My Spanish was terrible and broken, but it still ended up working out. I've gotten around 15 numbers with broken Spanish but that was the only one that amounted to anything. None of the numbers were dead, and the girls kept talking or randomly sending me messages, but when I tried to hang out with them they would get flakey, so I just stopped talking to them. Art museums and cultural shit is another cool thing to do. If I go to a place I want to check out like that and see a girl I like, I try to make conversation. Daygame is funner for me as a bonus, not as my main way to bang
Online - Mexican Cupid sucks in my opinion. I gave it a shot in the first month I was here, but I only saw like 5 attractive girls on the site that had been active in the last month, so it's basically worthless in my opinion. I didn't want to spend energy talking to ugly girls or average looking girls on there. I tried Colombian Cupid when I was in Medellin and it was 100x better and had a lot of girls. I pretty much just use Tinder. I get around 40-50 matches per week if I swipe. The first month I was getting pissed off because I was learning about Latina flakiness, and was getting flaked on a lot with my Tinder dates compared to the US. I basically switched my approach, and I just tried to hang out with Tinder girls that night or the next night. All my online sex has been from Tinder. I made my bio in English, and only talk to girls in English, because I don't enjoy going on dates with girls where I have to use Google Translate. I would say I've hung out with 8 girls from it, and I banged 5 the first time we hung out. I get burned out on online pretty easily, I don't think I have much patience for it. I've gotten more girls from going out at night. I've been busy with some projects and going out less lately, so I just activated my Seeking Arrangements account and am gonna mess around with that. I tried it in Los Angeles and had some good results as a Splenda Daddy, so I'm gonna try it here. I want to do some more traveling and wouldn't mind bringing a girl with me to some places
Meetups - Couchsurfing has weekly events where locals and international people go. I've banged a few girls from these. I also met a couple buddies that I party with at these. The ratio is hit or miss. Sometimes there is way too many dudes, and randomly there is a lot of girls. I just go and if it sucks I just have a couple drinks and talk to people, then leave and go somewhere else. It's a good warmup to get in a good mood. One other type of meetup worth checking out is a Salsa Dancing beginner's class. I went once and hooked up with a girl in my class. You get to dance with every girl so it's easy to tell if any girl is giving you love
Night - I've mostly just gone out in Zocalo, Condesa, and Roma. I think I like Roma the most, because it has a nice variety of spots. Mano Santa is a cool Mezcal spot for chilling with people or taking a date. Graciela is a good brewery with local Mexican brews. Departamento is a pretty good spot with attractive girls and a decent ratio. Terraza is another spot that has a good ratio with attractive girls. I would say both of those places are somewhere between lounge and club, enough music to dance, but not so loud you can't talk. Mundo Joven hostel in Zocalo has a cool rooftop bar that has a good mix of international people and Mexicans. It's more of a talking spot, but has a DJ. My go to spot in Condesa before was Pata Negra, I would always go there at like 1am if everything sucked, because it always consistently has people, but last night I went and it was shut down by the government. Also went to Phoenix and Janis recently and they were both shut down also. Seems like spots get shut down a lot here out of nowhere. I checked out Wallace and it seemed like a cool spot. Hotel Condesa has a rooftop bar that is cool for dates. With my lack of Spanish, loud music types of places are best for me, because I can just walk up to girls who are looking at me, grab their hand, start dancing with them, and then make out. Spanish is easy on a date because it's 1on1, but it can be more difficult in chaotic environments. One other way to meet girls is just talking to random girls on the sidewalk by clubs. The girl I hung out with the longest here in Mexico City was waiting for uber with her friend on the sidewalk when I met her, and my friend and I joined them and went to Hookah
People - Mexican people have been great to me so far. Pretty much no one has been rude to me this entire time, which is pretty ridiculous for a huge city. Basically everyone is nice, especially to foreigners. I've only had like 4 bitchy rejections here, 2 of those girls were white, and 2 were rich, hot Mexican girls. Basically every girl likes getting hit on, in my opinion, or at least don't get mad about it. Most dudes are cool as well. I haven't dealt with too much cock blocking, although there has been a couple times where a random guy who had no chance with the girl I was talking to sabotaging shit I was trying to do. There is also a nice international crowd, especially from Latin America. I've slept with girls here from Argentina, Uraguay, Cuba, so it has nice variety. A decent amount of cool expats as well
Food - Mexican food is great. I eat it all the time. There is an organic food chain called Green Corner, which is in all the nicer neighborhoods (Condesa, Roma, Polanco, Coyoacan, Santa Fe). I pay a college girl $40/week to cook me a week's worth of food with healthy ingredients. There are also quite a few healthy restaurants in Condesa and Roma. One other hack, which I use often is Uber Eats. It's about $10 an order that would cost me $25 in the US. You can get healthy food on there also
Culture - My favorite thing is Xocimilco. It's this place where you go with a group of people to hire a boat, and basically you just party. There are a lot of other boats floating around that have people partying on them, and you can jump onto other boats. It's really good on a Saturday. It should cost around 1000 pesos. If they try to charge you something like 2000 or more for a standard boat, they are ripping you off
That's all I can think of for now. In comparison to Los Angeles, where I've spent the majority of my life, I find it way easier, and the people to be a lot nicer. Honestly, I feel that way about basically every place I go outside of Los Angeles
