Mdma for depression.

Any thoughts on this from the guys in the know?
Swim has only had a healthy relationship with other
stuff like shrooms, mj and acid (few and far between) The afterglow from acid was good, but after a few weeks you realize people kinda suck.
I workout and eat right.

Imo, none of this will help you overcome the depression. The thing is that taking drugs will make you feel so much better(in most cases) that when you stop taking them, you will feel even more depressed, it's like an addiction booster. You should sort your life out first, then consider taking drugs.

I highly do not recommend MDMA for depression.

MDMA can be useful in controlled settings for individuals who need drugs in order to feel comfortable verbalizing and addressing problems, but outside of that, MDMA is going to make you feel good for a few hours and then very not good for many hours after that.

Also, MDMAs price point is not great for consistent use, nor is it's purity.

I recommend taking non-drug ways to addressing depression, and the reality is- part of addressing depression is realizing that it sometimes occurs, and it's up to you to make the most out of your life during those blue periods.

The only drug I'd recommend for mild depression is ADD meds, which can help motivate you if the depression is leaving you lethargic

Psychedelics are turning out to help with these psychological illnesses. Go watch a Jordan Peterson lecture on youtube about mushrooms and LSD.

MDMA doesnt sound like a good idea cause of purity issues and also its mode of action.

Try shrooms before you try LSD.

Dreadful, even stupid idea. MDMA is a recreational drug only, and every time you take it, the come down is worse.

Forget the drugs and deal with your shit sober.

However, a friend of mine once said that MDMA helped him open up about traumatic past events with close friends.

Sounds possible but I don't think that's a scenario you're imagining.

Full blown psychedelic freak right here. Or I used to be, until emptiness came to pay a visit.

Shrooms can help a LOT to change your perspective about life. If you do it right aka with good friends by a river at the sunset hours you will discover how fucking beautiful this world is. If you abuse them you will EVENTUALLY have a bad trip, and believe me, they are real life nightmares, you don-t want to do that as it will only make things worse. Why do I bring this up? Because I sense that you would abuse them due to the lightness with which you talk about different drugs, acid, shrooms, MDMA...It seems as if you are willing to try anything to cure your depression. I will recommend tripping to anybody that looks sound, because it really is mindblowing and lifechanging, but I know how south things can go.

Now, as others have pointed out, the best way to deal with our shit is sober, psychedelics will only make you see that you are (probably) taking things too seriously and that giving a little love to the world will go a long way towards your own happiness.

Combat the comedown. Make sure the drug is as pure as possible and is free of things like heroin or speed.

Stay hydrated, but don't overdo it.

Take 5-htp or tryptophan so the brain chemicals can recover faster.

Get naked with your favorite girl, deep base tunes and good lighting.

Pure MDMA will not make you trip and if it made you trip, you had a batch cut with something else. Like coke, getting it uncut is hard but not impossible.

In its pure form, MDMA is really meh. It just makes you want to hug and talk to everyone.

OP, three things:

1. SWIM means jack shit. Don't use it.
2. Make sure your diet and exercise are on point first. This is more of a cause for your depression. Taking mdma will give you a small window to evaluate your depression, but it won't fix you. That's your job.
3. Only get your MDMA from the darknet where the promise of purity is advertised. Not the best way of course, but it's slightly better than the local alternatives.

I've used MDMA regularly for 2 years.

If you manage to get that uncut pure molly, the experience will be one of the best in your life and the comedown will be smooth if you don't abuse it.

The novelty quickly wore off for me tho as I began taking higher doses and experiencing frequent sleep paralysis, and in the long run depression.

Moderation is key, my friend.

Absolutely not.

MDMA is not your answer to depression.

Even if its pure or even if you get Moon Rocks - the comedowns will get rougher.

There's a reason people have Monday blues after they roll all weekend. (You can take supps to counter that).

Get your levels checked first, see what you're deficient in, try supplementing.

Make sure to get your T levels checked as well.

You can chase down your depression by chasing a high.

Face your issues sober first, it doesn't sounds like you're that depressed (I'm only basing this on the lack of your explanation).

Go to the next pharmacy, get Vitamin D3 tablets and B12 injections (not tablets!) and you will feel fine again.

For the guys dismissing the idea entirely, there's actual research into this, specially in the treatment of PTSD.

Look up Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and Rick Doblin - he has appearances on multiple long-format shows like JRE and London Real.

MDMA approved for final trials to treat PTSD before possible legalization

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given the green light to phase three trials of MDMA to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, the final phase of validation required to turn the party drug into a legal medicine.

The treatment involves giving patients the drug just three times – once a month – during long talking therapy sessions, interspersed with weekly sessions without the drug. Early trials of the drug, currently listed as a schedule 1 substance by the Drug Enforcement Administration along with heroin and LSD, have shown encouraging results for patients with treatment-resistant PTSD.

It's legit stuff and has a great rate of improvement for patients who otherwise would be stuffed with palliative medication that would not solve the root of the problem.

However it should be noted that the therapeutic use employed by MAPS involves up to three sessions in which the patient does DEEP work with the help of a therapist with the goal of reliving the traumatic events. Doing it by yourself or with buddies is a world apart from that.

Way different from what OP is asking - he's basically saying hey if I pop some E my problems should go away right ?

Notice the above is for PTSD, not solely depression, plus the addition of therapy, non drug psycho therapy.

All in a controlled environment, that why I said it still isn't the greatest idea at this point.

(I'm not against this therapy in any way shape or form)

I don't think it's his first few few options, maybe his last few.

Using recreational drugs to cope with depression or anxiety is a terrible idea. I've abused alcohol to deal with social anxiety. Sometimes it was great in the short-term, but awful long-term. Many times I'd end up getting too confident while drunk and end up doing or saying stupid shit. I also got addicted to getting drunk, even when not in social situations. Like you, I thought a substance could be the answer to my problems, but all it did was create more severe ones.

You need to learn how to deal with life and uncomfortable situations while sober. It will be tough to get the motivation, but it is by far the best way to become the best version of yourself. You can always use recreational drugs responsibly when your mind is in a better place.
