If it's a hospital nurse, and more specifically Emergency Medicine/ Pediatric types, if she is available now, I would meet sooner rather than later. Do not give her a chance to use the I'm-on-call flaking method. It is hard to determine whether it's truth or a lie. Since hospital staffing is census driven, there is no way you'll know if she made other plans or the hospital really needed her for patient care.

From my experience, the better looking nurses are more specialized. The typical rehab hospital/ nursing home/ bedpan-swapping general hospital nurses who could make plans in advance are either fat or old.

Yeah, she eventually came clean. It originally looked like she was just going to ghost on me after our first night, but then I thought about some things that seemed odd and decided to call her on it as I didn't feel I had much to lose.

Lots of good info here. Let me add my two cents, gleaned from decades of knowing nurses.

The biggest thing I've found about nurses -- that encompasses all the points being made here -- is that they thrive on drama. We all chose fields that in some way reflect our inner selves. Nursing is a high drama field. If a woman didn't like drama, she'd work in an office.
