The reason people are like that today is that the music really is shitty now.

The 90s were probably the last great era in hip-hop, with some notable exceptions.

Dare I say it but Eminem is probably the most talented individual rapper ever. His albums aren't really my cup of tea. They are built for mass consumption for kids in the burbs. But his freestyles on mixtapes and especially his guest appearances are simply unparraleled. This guy has killed every record he's appeared on with another rapper. He could have spent his entire career being a hitman on other rappers' careers if he really wanted to.

Ive been listening to the Game's new album Jesus Piece. Heres the first track that really stood out to me... Ali-Bomaye ( didn't know this was a boxing reference till I googled it). Hook is rather later, about 30 seconds in. Definetely not a radio-friendly song...The tone of both songs are slightly off (you-tube regulations i guess).
