I got banned from PUA hate for spamming your book there Neil after my second post. I can't understand getting banned from a site that is custom made for trolls. I kinda feel like I've been thrown out of Mcdonalds for ordering a big mac. Did they take my link down?

They took it down. Don't worry, i was banned from that site too half a year ago. I wanted to join in on the PUA marketer bashing but they banned me after they saw my website.

I don't understand the reasoning either.

It's funny how some trolls pretend to be Style and Mystery. What a losers.

@Timmy I've been reading the book and I'm more than halfway through the book and Neil just finished Argentina. I think you'll be able to feel some of his pain. There are many times he doubts his player abilities which makes it all very realistic. What I really like is the menagerie of girls he picks up: some good, some average, some bad, some crazy! You name it, he goes after them all and it makes for very funny reading. A very funny story is the girl Neil was banging in Argentina who was more interested in texting than him. I find this extremely funny, because I've similar things happen to me. I once had a girl in the Ukraine, that was more interested in watching music videos on the TV (I don't think she had ever seen cable TV before) than banging me. I had to threaten her with turning off the TV unless she paid more attention to me than the TV.

@Neil - how do I get the new version of your book. I got it from Smashwords for my Nook.
I think the book is great and I think it has the right amount of sightseeing and country background to make it interesting. I travel for sightseeing and game along the way. If all I wanted to do is game, I'd stay in the best places for girls and never travel. It makes for a great read because you experienced everything the hard way, and that is really the only way to experience a culture or country.

I have a question: would you have gone after such a variety of girls, including bad ones, if you were not trying to bang 80 girls. I'm glad you went after the crazies and the pigs, because that is what makes the book so interesting and funny!

@Everyone - I'm in the processing of writing some books like Roosh and Neil about my travels to the 48 countries I've visited and I have many more countries to visit. If you are a guy in your 20s and will bang anything, are eager to increase you notch count, and are eager to travel, private message me. In the stage I'm in in my life, I've gotten to where I only bang the best and I don't mind working for it. But if you are easy to please and don't even have good game, I'd be glad to open all the sets and turnover all the girls I don't want to you. I think it would make for a lot of fun for both of us! Private message me!

Wow, hold on, i didn't just bang anything alive. I went after the cute ones of course. That girl in Argentina was no model but didn't look bad either. Just average for Argentina i guess.

I must say i have a weak spot for bad ass girls haha. They make it more interesting but they still have to look good. I admit I had a few fives but not many.

But remember that 98% of the beautiful actresses in Hollywood are rated a "5" on this board.

So saying "I had a few fives but not many", is very impressive.

Essentially you are saying, "I have swooped Sofía Vergara and Shakira, I am not proud of those two swoops, the majority of my swoops have been way hotter."

*Partial Review

Started the book last night, Im at 45% on the Kindle, which is when he's at Indonesia - Jakarta. Right now Im hooked on the book. Anyone intrested in travel or enjoys hearing a story of a male learning to Man Up into a Grown Man who gets what he wants out of life will enjoy this book.

The first 20% of the book: It covered Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Japan, South Korea, and China. Its a decent read. Player wise, its kinda pedestrian, what I would expect to hear if one of my buddies from school spent some time traveling. Its interesting, but as Neil says himself, he was still a Beta and had no idea about game. He gets some girls but its more like how a normal cool guy will naturally end up with some girls. The beginning of the book is not about a dude with game leveraging his skills into female interest and swoops.

The next 20% is great though, its like watching a boy turn into a man. Dude goes on a tear through South East Asia and I couldnt help but nod my head in appreciation as he goes from regular guy to The Man in Cambodia. Any player will appreciate the streak he goes on. Real recognize Real.

Overall its been a great read. As i said before, Im in Kazakhstan now and he was spot on with his description. My trip is almost over out here, but reading his book has me looking at postponing my ticket back home and instead heading to South East Asia for a bit to "see whats up." I have no knowldege on the area but I think I could follow his itinerary and come out unscathed.

Besides him chasing women, Im also intrigued by his description of the places he visits. Im not into touristy stuff like site-seeing, but I would like to head down there and "put my ear to the street" like he did and mix in with the local way of life. When traveling, he did it on the cheap so he spent a lot of time mixing it up with the locals.

So far, its a great mix of travel, debauchery, pick up, and watching the progress of going from an average male to a Grown Man. There are a decent amount of grammatical errors, but you gotta let that slide since English isnt his native language. The longer I read the book, the less grammatical errors and the more he finds his "voice" for telling a story and making it flow and stay interesting.

I follow The G's blog and also read all of Roosh's books. Neil's game and lifestyle is much different from either of theres so its a cool contrast and just some more perspective on life.

I'll finish the review when I finish the book.

Neil,

Great. I spotted the PDF version. What's the deal on the updates you were referring to? Are they reflected in the PDF on smashwords or should I wait a few days?

Also, I second the others who say the cover is very engaging. Seems like you got a steal for $300.

Yes Brian, Argies are the thinnest but the hardest in the Americas. I'm starting to see an obesity-chubiness trend in most of Latin American and even some parts of Asia. That is why my next destination is Eastern Europe.

No it's the full version but an ebook always compresses their pages to fit more words on them. More words per page and less white space/half pages.

Yep Argies are indeed the thinnest in south America. Might have to do with the fact that most of them are chain smokers and drink mate (stimulant tea) all day.

Ok, I have read most of "Around the World in 80 Girls" and here's my review. I try not to pull punches when I give an opinion on something that others might base their decisions on.

POSITIVES:

1) First of all, "Around the world in 80 Girls" is very interesting and certainly delivers as to what you would expect from a book about traveling around trying to connect with as many girls as possible. The book traces Neil's arc from complete beta to "hansome man who get all girls." Neil really does break down exactly what he's thinking and why he decides to do certain things, which is great because it puts the reader right there with Neil. Perhaps most importantly, in AW80G, Neil has the requisite balls which are necessary to even create the stories that make for interesting reads for guys like us. Quite simply, he really "goes for it" in the book which creates great results and also spectacular failures. This is the ideal situation as both make for good reading.

Although I travel fairly decently, AW80G made me want leave all responsibility behind and immediately embark on a similar trip. I imagine this is wiill be the case for many readers, and to me its a sign that AW80G really connects the reader with Neil and his various experiences.

2) As a side benefit, the book is actually quite funny, and I had some "lol" moments while reading it. Neil's writing style is very direct in delivery. This may be as a result of being a non-native english speaker and thus abandoning all attempts to use nuance or write in a flowery prose. Furthermore Neil just states outright what he's thinking or his characterization of a certain situation very bluntly in most of the book. This also includes some thoughts or actions that are not very flattering to himself at time (i.e. peeing on a girl's leg, feeling wounded pride because a girl told him his dick is small, or doubts about his game, as he's learning). Also, Neil makes quite a few references to being a cheap-skate. It takes a lot for a guy to admit he's a cheapskate, and as a reader, I found this very refreshing, and again quite hilarious.

Of course, it's impossible to know for sure, but the stories come off as very genuine when compared with what I like to call the internal "situation generator" that many of us use to try to roughly assess whether and to what extent someone's bullshitting. By all accounts, it seems real, which of course makes it valuable as the excitement here comes from knowing this is real, and not just fiction.

3) Small point: as I've mentioned in this thread before, the cover is fantastic.

NEGATIVES:
I really consider the following two items to be small points but they are worth mentioning:

1) As far as I could tell, the book has no pictures, drawings, or maps. The 7 year old in me would have liked to see some mapped out routes (kind of like what NN puts in his some of his posts) as these seem to make the journey much more real for the reader and easier to imagine. I believe this would have been a fairly easy addition to the book. Maybe one map per continent or chapter would have sufficed.

2) The spelling and grammatical mistakes are extremely pervasive. Personally, I don't think this is a big deal because the stories come through with the goods, but this factor does make the book come off as quite unprofessional. In this respect, I don't think being a non-native speaker is an excuse because editors exists, and after all, this is a published book.

OVERALL:

Bottom line, the book is a great read, and delivers where it matters. I'm glad a guy like Neil who had the guts and drive to do this, came along and took the time to write about his experiences afterwards. Good job Neil.

I bought the book yesterday and started reading.

First of all i was a bit surprised that the first chapter starts straight in russia, there is no background as to who neil is and what made him go on a journey like that. I read some posts from neil before on the blog so i had a slight idea about him as a character, but to someone who just stumbles across this on amazon and has no idea about neil it would be really confusing. TBH it was a real letdown because part of the motivation for buying the book for me was that i was really interested in your (neil) background and seeing the motivations and struggles that made you wanna get out of the netherlands, how you prepared for your travels etc.

Then im also really shocked at the amount of grammatical and spelling errors.
To me this is totally unacceptable and really ruins the fun of reading this book. For a blog this is ok but not for a real book. Feels like a really sloppy job neil and i think you should have an editor read the stuff before you sell it. I was really wondering if amazon fucked up somehow and sent me a kind of unfinished preview version of the book.

The stories are entertaining but these two points above really disappointed me so far and kind of spoilt the experience for me as a customer. It feels literally like you just slapped some blog posts together and sold them on amazon. At this point i would not come back to buy another book from you neil.

I hope you see this as a constructive criticism and improve these points because you actually have some cool entertaining stories to tell.

This is just my first impression and i will hold back a full review untill i finished the book.

I haven't read the book, but I agree with w00t that lots of spelling and grammatical errors are a big turn off for me. I read a book once and even though the story had potential, the spelling errors really drove me crazy. Might be worth looking into getting an editor from oDesk. Otherwise, you may get lots of negative reviews that will hinder your book sales.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the book. I know the book lacks in editing and grammar. The truth is that I can't afford an editor which would cost at bare minimum 1500 dollars for a book with nearly 200k words. A professional writer or well educated native English writer might do it themselves but it would take a year for me to do it.

This is also the reason why I don't use much flowery prose. The book would have 2000 pages if I described such a trip in full. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of too much flowery prose anyway. I'm reading a Stephen King book ( The long walk, great book btw) at the moment and i'm annoyed with his long descriptions sometimes. I mean come on, half a page just to describe a sunrise ??

I emphasized a bit on the cheapskatery because the book is aimed at backpackers and travelers. As a backpacker on the road for an unknown period of time you have to be. The more you spend, the sooner you're back home working a day job again. Taking a overnight bus instead of a short flight buys me a few extra days in that country, sometimes even a week.
On the other hand, I can be a giant cheapskate sometimes, even my friends joke about it (my nickname is "de gier" which translates to "the vulture") and of course i"m Dutch. My whole country is filled with cheapskates. It's a national hobby.
I'm only cheap when it concerns myself. I'm not the guy who suddenly goes to the toilet when it his turn to give a round of beers.
I have a map on my website and also lots of pictures. I might insert a map or two in the future.

Anyone read Neil Skywalkers new book yet? Around The World in 80 Girls

Have you checked oDesk or Elance? I'm pretty sure you can get a stay-at-home mom who has an English degree to proof read your book for way less than $1,500.

I'm not sure how that possible. Did you start reading at the cover ? or did your kindle jump to the first chapter by itself?. I have a kindle previewer on my desktop and it seems fine.

Before Chapter One there's a cover, copyright page, a pre title, a two page content list and 8 pages of "about me" with my whole background story.

This is the first time I hear anyone say this. Please check your kindle.

It's all there as you can see here in the look inside feature:

I can't make you like the book of course but the "about me" is there. I wrote about the errors in a post above. I can understand there are mistakes in grammatical form with comma's and stuff but there can't be too much spelling errors since the book has been spell checked a hundred times.

Please give me a few examples so i can check them myself with my last edited and published file.

I've sold quite a few copies now on kindle and had no refunds so far. The ebook formatting is done by a professional formatting company from the States.

The book is premium cataloged on Smashwords which means it is reviewed by them for sale to Apple i-book,Barnes and nobles, Sony nook etc etc.

I admit the first chapters aren't that interesting as they are heavily edited to save pages for the rest of the story which is actually about me picking up girls.
I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied but to say I just slapped some blog posts together does not rhyme with the fact that i have worked for months on this project.
