Hey what's up people,
I'm new to the forum. I'd like to think i've picked up a couple of skills over the years, but you're never done learning, so i thought i'd start out hopefully getting some thoughts on a situation that's about to confront me whether I like it or not.
About a year and a half ago I was working in the same company as a pretty decent looking chick, from a different department that i'd had a fair amount of eye contact flirtation with as well as a few flirty chit-chats. Anyways i heard she was about to get laid off so i knew i had to move in quick, so I got chatting to her, got her number, said i'd give her a call, but got distracted and never did. She found me on facebook and tried to message me, but i was still distracted with other girls and ended up "accidentally on purpose" ignoring her. Rude, I know, but like i said, my attention was elsewhere and i guess i figured i'd never see her again anyway in a big city like London.
A year and a half later, and lo & behold she's back, and looking even finer than before (must of had a good gym & hairdresser combo deal). The only thing worse than a missed opportunity is a missed opportunity that comes back to tease you with what you could have had, so this has become a bit more meaningful than the usual chase.
What to do? Straight up acknowledge the fact I left her hanging, and try to smooth talk an explanation. Play ignorant? Or simply call it quits and continue distracting myself with all the other fish in the sea?
Any, and all, thoughts are welcome.
DH
