In the summer of last year, I broke up with my last girlfriend, who had been a complete bitch as far as I'm concerned.

A bit of background info...

I was in China, studying abroad for a semester.

She, a Chinese who was studying abroad in Germany (my second home country), had been visiting friends and family there at the time. We'd met in Germany and had been together for about ten months. As a girlfriend, she fucked up in too many ways for me to list here, but recent transgressions there were enough for me to decide that she could go fuck herself when she returned to Germany to continue her studies. Shortly before returning to Germany in August, I sent her a two paragraph email basically telling her it was over. No response. Basically haven't talked or seen eachother since.

Since then, I've been going through a bit of a drought. Little time to go out, plus the fact that getting casual sex in my city is a slow and tedious process (strong sense of cliquishness in clubs and bars with practically no "hookup culture", boring women, etc.).

Meh, I disagree with the previous posters, but what the hell do I know.

Do you still have any feelings for the girl? If so, then you've got to move on. However, if you're just looking for someone to break your drought, then this might be worth pursuing. Myself, I usually just put the effort into finding a new girl, but I've been guilty in the past of using an old fuck buddy to get the wheels rolling again.

There's a way to just see how she's doing and not act like you're going for sex. Remember the fastest way to chase her off again is to push for sex. Actually it's hard to say who broke up with whom. I thought the same at first, but a few months after she left for Germany, I recieve an email and a note through facebook from her. She asks if everything's alright and why she hasn't heard from me in so long. I ask her to give me her skype account so I can dump her that way. She responds with some bullshit excuse about why she can't use skype and says we should just communicate through emails (as we had done during my previous trip to China), asking me if I've got QQ (a Chinese chatting software).
