A WW2 memorial dedicated to women was defaced to protest the Tory victory.



Laurie Penny, who was already in a highly emotional state from having her political party lose, defended the vandalism on Twitter because the "welfare state" is being threatened.

   

   

If you click the individual tweets, she's getting no support. Some of the hardest criticisms are by women.

The Spectator wrote an article about it. There's nearly 500 comments. I can't find one that supports her.
