The Washington Examiner is reporting that Germany’s Institute for the Study of Labor is suggesting that the government crackdown on porn access because "Research has shown for some time that porn use in marriage destroys the marital bond, but now we can see that porn use destroys even the desire to get married.”
"Given the rapid decline in marital formation and stability in western countries, a natural question is how quickly this trend will proliferate in developing countries as their standards of living rise."
It would be pretty amusing to think the end of society came not from bombs or terrorists, but from men watching XHamster.
"Researchers analyzed data from 1,512 surveys completed by American men aged 18-35 between 2000-2004. What they found is that porn use makes marriage unappealing." As opposed to today's women and family courts, who make it hella appealing! Kidding.
I have mixed feelings on this. But then I'm older, have been divorced, and don't want to speak for a 21-year-old guy who might be part of the "sexodus." Back in my day, most of 'em were thin, had no tattoos, and not nearly as much attitude. Remember Kelly Bundy from "Married With Children?" Girls like that were real and they were spectacular.
Over at Alpha Game, Vox Day has some thoughts on this, and he lays blame at the (swollen, tattooed) feet of American women:
"Women still have a tendency to think they're the only game in town and behave accordingly. But they're not. Men have always felt the call of the wild, but the combination of a good woman and societal pressure tended to overwhelm that. But when marriage increasingly looks like not having sex with an obese bitch who can rob you at any time, it's little wonder that more young men are opting for doing whatever they hell they want all the time for the rest of their lives instead."
