Personally, I don't think I'm an anti-social. I go out most weekends and have a fun time. However, if I'm just out and about, or in class or something, I generally don't really feel like talking with people that I don't know. If you're just a person that offers nothing of value (social or otherwise) to me, I can't feign that I have an interest in talking to you. I think in America, a majority of people think like this. Though if you catch them in the right situation, they can be very open and gregarious, as I would be if I was at a party or something.
