There is definitely something to this. I notice that when guys date specifically outside their race, and I do, they tend to fetishize. If a woman checks certain boxes, for example the super-ass on a Black girl or super spinner skinniness on an Asian, then other flaws are ignored. I find myself forgiving Kate Upton's square, lifeless ass because she's a cute blonde with a great rack.
Brazilian women are often forgiven a butter face because of a great shape and skin tone. Ukrainians bad teeth/skin because they're fair and slim. Russians and Asians are almost devoid of ass. And so on. When people focus heavily on their own little fetish they often fail to see the bigger picture.
