Why obesity is not your doctor’s problem.

Why obesity is not your doctor’s problem.

Great article with a lot of revealing quotes scattered throughout, like how the fatties blatantly lie to their doctors in their food logs then eventually admit to eating ridiculous amounts of food, and how no fat person they ever check for glandular or hormonal problems ever actually has one.

The fact that we have let the obesity epidemic get as far as it has is absolutely shameful. It speaks to the feminization of society and the emphasis on feelings over facts that now dominates our culture. The truth is that everyone know exactly what causes obesity. It's people eating too much junk food. That's it. If you are fat as fuck, it's because you have an addiction to junk food. Full stop.

That is not something that should be encouraged or tolerated. Does society tolerate alcoholics or drug addicts? Gambling addicts? Are any of these other addictions that destroy peoples' lives and health actually encouraged and excused the way obesity is? Fuck no! That would be ridiculous. And yet that is exactly what our society currently does with the obese: encourage acceptance.

The only way to stop obesity is to promote a culture of relentless fat shaming. An extremely simple yet extremely effective remedy to the problem. Fat people NEED to be shamed. Human beings are social animals. If our society does not provide us with negative feedback mechanisms when we are fucking up, we have no incentive to correct our behavior. The culture of "feels" would have us believe that shaming is a bad thing because it hurts people. This is a complete lie and a farce. It's like saying that your immune system is a bad thing because it gives you a fever and makes you weak and uncomfortable when it's fighting off an infection or disease.

If you are obese it's because YOU ARE FUCKING UP. You need to change your eating habits in a major way. If you can't summon up the willpower and discipline to control what you stuff into your mouth, you obviously need some sort of external impetus to help you along. That's where shaming comes in. The alternative is completely laughable, as this article points out. What, I'm just supposed to sit there and pretend nothing is wrong when you're carrying around an extra person's worth of fat on your body? Pretend it's not even there? Pretend like you aren't slowly killing yourself because you're addicted to sugary foods? And I'm supposed to do this because that's what's good for you? Fucking insanity.

Fat shaming is the only thing that works. People aren't going to be motivated to make a difficult change in their lives unless they are uncomfortable enough to feel like they need to do so. Almost every time you read a story about a person who lost a lot of weight, there was always some tipping point where they realized how fucking fat they had become: and they felt ashamed. It's the only thing that makes people want to change.

We are a society of cowards and liars if we do not fat shame the obese. They need us to do so. They are depending on us to shout into their faces how much they've let themselves go. I'm not even joking. They really do, because they're in the depths of a food addiction and can no longer see themselves objectively. They need a slap in the face to get with the program and help motivate them to change. They need other people to make them understand that their food addiction is destroying their life and that everyone can see that fact as plain as day. They need to be reminded constantly that society owes them no obligation to sit around and remain silent in order to preserve their feelings while they slowly kill themselves with junk food.

It's really this simple: shame a fatty, save a life.
