The whole point of religion is asset and pussy control. Keeping your women and children in line through guilt, shame and promise of heaven if they behave and the wrath of God if they don't. The concept of God and lord is metaphorical. It means anyone with power over you. To a family the man is the lord. To men their boss at work is the lord. Property owners are landlords. It's basically one big pyramid scheme that we call society.
