Well, what is really outrageous about the whole thing is not that she asked to be paid for her appearance, but that she is even taken seriously at all.
Much of her prose is on the verge of incoherency, take this passage as an example: "The labouring sexual bodies of prostitutes are hated, feared and punished by society at large as part of a culture that understands female sexual objectification as labour whilst remaining terrified of the notion of women gaining real control over the proceeds of that labour."
I mean, what is she trying to say here? Or anywhere?
