Gothenburg- I only was able to spend a night here but the Iron Maiden concert was insane. I was right up in the front and the stadium was absolutely packed!
There were quite a few hot rocker chicks there, mostly with boyfriends though.
The quality of girls in Gothenburg was a bit lower this weekend due to the thousands of sausages descending upon the city for the metal concerts there. I first chatted up two hot Metallica fans who were camping out for them, it was going well but I left because I had to meet the guy I was sharing a room with. I should have taken their number but I thought I'd see them again which was the wrong conclusion.
After the concert I hit town and opened a couple of girls about nightlife places to hit. I told them I was from Canada and hear to see Iron Maiden which hooked the group. They were checking out a Rock bar so I followed them in and chatted them up. They said that everybody here got drunk in the summer and drinking was a major hobby. The rock bar we hit was called Rock Kalassiker(I'm not sure but thats what was written on it). That was a bad mistake, cover was expensive at around 100 kr(15 USD) but it was also insanely loud. The girls immediately hit the bar and since I don't drink I decided to check out the dance floor. I should have again taken the number to meet up later but at the time I thought I'd just see them again....
This rock bar had a lot of really hot rocker girls dressed in cocktail dresses which was a positive for me. However my ear drums were bleeding from the constant assault and after I walked around and danced for a bit I decided to make my exit. A girl opened me up and asked for the 2nd dance floor. I took her hand and led her to it, and then asked her what some other nightclubs were. She didn't hear me, and told me thanks. I should have kept plowing and taken her to a quieter area but I just exited the venue because of how fucking loud it was. I need to learn to take advantage of these situations since she was down for me and was putting her hand on my chest. Persistence is one area which I need to work on.
After I left this venue I saw two guys talking to a blonde and brunnete. The blonde was occupied by one guy while the other guy was being drunk. From a distance the brunnete looked cute so I came up and started chatting. She wasn't cute and didn't like and I kept plowing. The two guys and the blonde started chatting to me and once again mentioning I was from Canada made the blonde very interested in me. I should have stolen the blonde from one of the guys, but at the time I didn't want to be a dick to the guy. I need to learn to be more ruthless, since she was literally almost falling over leaning towards me. The guys here approach when they are drunk and some of them have fairly decent game. However, use your exotic factor and your higher level of game and pull the trigger instead of being nice to some random guy like I did.
I went home pretty early since I had to wake up. Gothenburg seems like lovely city and I want to spend a week or two there next time. This trip is mostly for touristy stuff but its given me a solid foundation for a dedicated trip towards gaming.
Observations- Everybody here gets drunk in summer. I avoided alcohol since its expensive but it does make the girls hornier. I've had a few girls open me asking questions or asking for a smoke, which seems to the girls way of trying to pick us guys up. Take those opportunities and run with them. This will probably happen once a night but I have to learn to jump on them and quickly venue bounce. Good looking exotic guys will be presented with a lot of these opportunities which should supplement the prospects you gain from cold approach.
-This is the perfect place and time to meet girls who are into bands like Iron Maiden. Yes, there are a lot of guys here and they outnumber girls, but hot metal girls here are so rare in Toronto this is actually an awesome situation. The shields were higher up here than in Stockholm, but probably because of the temporary inflation of their looks due to the extra guys here. Its nothing an experienced player couldn't break through and I mostly saw it inside the club on the dance floor. Good dance floor game will overcome that.
-Gothenburg is a smaller city and would qualify as a tier 2 city. Being from a far away country or exotic culture will increase your value here compared to Stockholm. Just be sure to avoid the concert season if you want to stay cheap. I crashed on someone's couch for 50 bucks and they were paying over 300 a night for the room(A double bed).
Personal Notes- Show more persistence in tough conditions. Ask about the noise level of bars and clubs before you hit them. Take girls from other guys who are competing with you even if they are being friendly, after all they will do the same to me.
