You have to roll high end (or at least appear to). If you roll with the "ain't paying to get in anywhere." vibe, then you are melted quicker than a Mojito on Espanola Way.

I don't think rocker plays to well there. Maybe at some lower profile hipster spots like Purdy Lounge, but then again, that is not going to hold the best girls. Although that place is cool.
A lot of this stuff comes down to "styles make fights".
In South Beach, 8 out of 10 girls are looking for a guy like me.
In a rocker bar, it might be 2 out of 100. At best.
