I noted the same thing as vinman, serious female martial artists have good form like gymnasts, but paired against an average guy with okay form it is no competition. But the guy loses out in his training. Its like sparring with your kid brother.
And a couple of women I have noted in Muay Thai do seem to be there for the aura of violent male power. They are like dudes who take yoga or dance classes, it is to work on their game.
