Do I care what some random stranger thinks of me on the street, driving on the highway, or on the internet? Of course not. Do I care what my parents and closest friends think? Sure.

In your career a reputation can be everything. Do I care what someone thinks of me? No. Do I care if my reputation is permanently tarnished? Sure.

I guess it all comes down to how perception affects your life. The older you get, the less anyone cares.. that's for sure.
