As for the game technique, I think this look a bit awkward. It would be better if she didn't see you, but if you just ran by her side and then turned back, it's weird. Granted, my opinion on this doesn't count because I have never even thought about this. Thinking back to my day game approaches, most seem to be when we are walking towards each other, or when she is sitting somewhere and I am walking by.
