Mount Royle is near the student ghetto. A lot of young people live in the shit apartments near McGill.

Montreal has been put on blast, stuff like Oshega has let the Montreal mystery become exposed. I had hillbillies from my hometown fly out for that festival, I can imagine the locals cringed seeing all that riff raff on the streets all at once. Montreal always has had epic festivals but F1, Jazzfest, Justforlaughs, etc is bringing a different crowd to town.
Lastly with school stuff this is the awkward two weeks before students start rolling in for fall. Toronto has been flat also I notice but once you start seeing girls in the stores buying mops and brooms you know the new crop of students have come back into town.
