My spot is not overly-decorated, but it's great to have a few signature pieces to discuss. For me, this is a vintage typewriter, guitars hanging on the walls, and a couple of awards from my past around the living room.
Having at least some booze (and a decent mixer) is important.
I'll also second the candles in the bedroom. That is a great move, it's like girls feel like they have to have sex with you once there are candles lit.
